Yup, air flow! Wow...
For air flow these are great on very hot days with no AC, and yup my work vehicle has no AC!! Boo Hoo! Anyway, not as uncomfortable as you would think sitting on wood and springs. Hardly notice it any more. They are a little easy to rip the wood covering so you do need to be a little careful with them. I also had to cut elastic band and sew in Velcro as my seat belt is connected to seat back and cannot slip the cover over it. Not a big deal to have some air flow under your bum on a hot day! Will buy again, and probably again to!

More disposable garbage...
I've had this for just over one year -- i use it in a vehicle that may get used once or twice each week (and i stopped using the cushion alltogether in the winter). The seams have failed in three places exposing the wire construction coils. I have repaired them with gaffer tape which is likely more resilient the materials used in the cushion itself. It gives fine ventilation in the summer, but it doesn't stay in place very well and interferes with the seatbelt buckle access. More gaffer tape would minimize shifting, but if it's just going to fall to pieces after only several dozen uses, what's the point in continually fixing the repairs? Like everything else, our disposable society would rather buy something cheap and expendable -- if there were a higher quality option, i would easily spend $50 if the thing was built to last.BTW; I use the cushion in pick-up truck that is rather high off the ground (with no side steps) and it requires me to "slide" in and out of the vehicle -- i'm sure this is something that has exploited the inherent weaknesses of the materials.

Great bus or truck driver seat cushion
I drive buses and found this to be a godsend in the hot weather, even though our buses have A/C. It can get hot in the driver's seat and this does the trick to keep your clothes from sticking to you. I also like that it gives support for those seats that are getting a little saggy and it also protects my clothing from those seats that are dirty - from dust, sweat, cigarette smell, and wash bay guys' and mechanics' grime. It has a rather flimsy elastic band to slip over the back of the seat and is also handy for storing the cushion. I am going to add a shoulder strap to it because it is awkward to carry around. It's holding up OK, but I can see before long that the elastic band is going to give way as well as the material of the seat. No seams have let go yet but I am careful with it. My driving buddies have tried it out and now they all want one.

Keeps Me Cool on My Mobility Scooter!
Once a summer mainstay of auto supply stores, dime stores and discount department stores such as Caldor, ventilated car seats are now quite hard to find. In a car without air conditioning, they really help to keep you cooler. One big advantage, your back won't be wet with sweat when you arrive with one of these.I use this on the vinyl seat of my mobility scooter, it's a perfect fit and does it's job very well. Looks like it's well made, however most of these only lasted a season or two.

STOPS BACK SWEAT!
Stops back sweat in the car. My new car's leather seats made me have horrible back sweat this summer. I looked near and far for a well rated product. I started out looking for seat beads, but many people complained of them falling apart after a short amount of time.I cam across this and can tell you that it works very well. I can feel the air circulating between the seat and my back and cooling me off. It has springs between two layers of mat material. I think that it will hold up well. So far so good, over the last month.

OUCH !!! This thing HURTS !! It is NOT a "cushion"
Ouch !!! First of all, this is NOT a cushion. You're sitting on a grid of 3/4-inch steel coils, spaced in a checkerboard square grid about 2-1/4 inches apart, with NOTHING between the steel coils. That's all. No cushion. And it is covered by a very rough material. I mean, you could exfoliate your skin with the outer covering of this thing; it's harsher than a Loofah scrubber pad.Yeah, OK, you get SOME air circulation (not much, but more than I had, without this "Kool Kooshion"), but if you don't have plenty of fat on your buttocks, this thing is going to hurt after a while of sitting on it.I tried. I can't take it anymore.

No more sweaty back
So far it's working okay, but I've only had it a week. It's not very soft and cushy, but that's because it's made with springs. It's good to get the air circulating between me and my vinyl truck seat. As others have stated, the back side is a bit too short, it stops right in my middle to upper back. The elastic strap is on the small side as well, I had to be careful as I fitted it in my work truck (Ford F350) The elastic band is quite stretched and looks like it might tear in the near future. The biggest advantage of this cushion is I am now sitting up 1 - 2 inches taller in my seat, I like to be seated up tall for better visibility of road hazards. It's the end of March, I hope to get 1 summer use out of this cushion before it starts to fall apart. I will try to update this if it fails prematurely.

Works as advertised.
This cushion only lasts me through the long hot summer, then it falls apart, so I buy one every Spring. It works very well for air ventilation and is moderately comfortable. The other models are too narrow to cover my truck seat and don't ventilate as well. If you're like me and don't like the cloth covers for cool comfort then this product will work well for you. If you expect it to last a long time, forget it. It's just thin spring coils under a tight plastic weave. I'm heavy and it still lasts 6 months. Depending on how much you drive the product might last longer for you. The color in the picture is correct for the Beige one.
