TWL B1-RL 24 Kt Gold Plating Solution - 500 ml

This stuff is expensive but so easy to use. The instructions right on the bottle worked great for me. 5V for 30-60 seconds. I didn't even have to do any complicated surface prep, just cleaned the parts in alcohol first. So far I plated the rotor of my watch and some other jewelry where the original plating was wearing off.

I thoroughly washed the pewter and then ran it in a bath of electroclean for about 1 minute prior to plating. Followed the plating directions on the bottle and ran about 250ml bath, 5vdc in 1 minute increments while agitating the piece gently. The solution that I received is actually clear (not bluish as pictured) so I can see the piece easily in my beaker. About 3 of these runs with a light polish on the buffer between and I achieved a nice deep yellow gold plate.

Works very well for its intended purpose. The item that you are trying to plate has to be well prepped for this product to work.
