Great product, well built
I never leave reviews but I always read them. I usually find that people are harsh on the reviews for the dumbest reasons. This item is fantastic. This is my first kayak dollie purchase but I appreciate well-crafted items. This thing is well built, super easy to assemble and lightweight. The wheels are super easy to remove and reattach. It folds down small enough you don’t really need to remove them even if they joint you for a paddle. Tires are beefy and grippy. The kickstand folds up easily and works well.Get a proper tie down and toss the included strap. It would work but it’s hard to tighten enough for my liking. Now I’m off on a solo trip. Peace out!

With a few minor mods this works
Added a pool noodle to the rails to stabilizers the brand of kayak being used. I put a simple brace to prevent the wheels from collapsing okay with the no vollapsing feature now. Simple Home Depot mode. With the mods I am very please with the performance and easy of use. I purchased this for the wheels as I do have cover rough areas from time to time to launch and retrieve. FYI, first timer kayak person for fishing. Thanks

strong, light, smelly, and cheap. I like it.
I bought this for a sunfish sailboat. As other have mentioned, the top of the carrier is relatively flat, so extra padding is required (in the form of zip-tied pipe insulation) if you have a highly contoured boat with a full length keel. For grins, I tried my ocean kayak and my wilderness systems kayak and both fit pretty well. This carrier holds the weight of the 150# sunfish just fine, it should be more than adequate for any kayak. The wheels are not very wide set, about two feet; so it tips easily with the sail boat. with a kayak, it doesn't tip badly. As others have mentioned, the rubber wheels stink really bad, its pretty funny. Just store it outside. As others have mentioned the included tie down strap is mediocre at best, and you really need two of them, because the carrier tends to roll out from underneath, tipping forward or backwards, with just the one tie down. They could improve the product by adding a place to attach tied downs (instead of the inexplicable, useless kickstand). Overall, for the price, its a great product. I'm thinking about getting another for my yaks. Oh, its pretty light too.

Useless strap, but with a tweak ot two works great.
I reviewed the reviews for this product and was worried that the strap wouldn't work and it wouldn't turn well, well they were right. The strap loosened really easily, and taking a turn will make the kayak buckle over the top of the trolley and will flip it. But, after using a ratchet strap instead of the useless friction strap it works pretty well and I think I will keep it and use it. The only other negative in addition to having to purchase an additional strap is that it doesnt cradle the kayak too well but that's no big deal. Easy to remove wheels and collapsible frame make it easy and convenient to store.

wheels stink for a day or two, but best product for the money and then some.
Kayak carrier is used for short distances on irregular but not rough terrain (grass, gravel/dirt parking lot, and of course driveway). Handles my two person circa 55 lb/15 foot kayak, no problemNo assembly needed except putting on/off wheels with easy lock pins a 5 year old can handle. Cart is very light and straps easily to outside of kayak for carrying along down river if you want to.Kayak straps are easy to use if you look on internet for hints, no instructions so if you mess around you might not find the most stable strap down position at first (front wheel bar on one side, to rear wheel bar on the other- I think...).Does not maneuver well for sharp turns (e.g.tight left and right wiggles into the back of a crowded garage required pick up of one end to re-orient- no big deal), but that is very minor, no problem steering around car and garbage cans in driveway.Tires reek when first unpacked, the lesson here is unpack outside, and immediately discard box and plastic wrapping that retain the rubber odor. BUT.... the tires air out in a day or two, did not notice any odor in hot closed garage by day 2-3.Could have build a sort of similar cart from plastic plumbing pipe, joints, joint glue, styrofoam bumpers, and large wheels based on internet plans, for about 35 bucks. Or I could have bought this one for about 31 bucks. A no brainer.p.s.. opted for product with pneumatic wheels... internet complaints abound for non-inflatable wheels until you go into at least the 85+ dollar carts, which are fine carts if you are transporting over long/rough distances, but overkill for my casual level of use and maybe half-block maximum parking lot distances. I'm not taking my kayak down trails in Alaska, just out to the pickup and then down to the boat ramp after parking. I'm putting in a few miles on a local river 2-3 times a week, but my back complained about lifting and carrying the boat at a weird angle like I used to do 50 years ago, and the cart was/is an excellent solution.

too many small issues add up to a BIG let down
Overall, it's not bad for the price. However, there are a few small problems with it that just make it terrible. 1st there's nowhere to hook the strap to the framing. this lack of connection causes the kayak to slip through the strap no matter how tight you get it. 2nd. the tires are very thin & any that can remotely poke WILL go through & puncture the tube. 3rd it is EXTREMELY hard to replace the tube because of how the hub is made.4th the axle hole is 3/4" common axle hole is 5/8". so good luck finding replacement tires. In conclusion, these 4 things make it unusable. The framing is however, VERY sturdy & you can lay it on the back of most kayaks while your out.

Very good wheels
Good and sturdy rolls over rough terrain with ease. Givin 4 stars due to the strap, should have a quick release clip with tension adjustment
