Right out of the box, Amazon have a great price on this! Amazing value for a "Smart" power saving surge protector here!The surge protector includes a USB which can be used two ways:1) As a manual remote control for controlling the power saving outlets. (USB has a battery) A little wall mount is included with the USB.2) Or automatically controlled by a USB outlet, As long as the USB outlet supplies the transmitter with over 5.0Volts! After the PC is turned off, the USB will wait 2.5minutes before it shuts off. (Blue light starts blinking for the entire duration).My speakers use 15W off,my monitor use 5W off,My bedroom tv use 20W off.With the power saving USB transmitter controlled by powering on my desktop PC "OR" by a press on the transmitter itself, it all saves me 40W, 20hours a day that could have been 100$ yearly with our power costs! 8$ every month!!The USB controlled surge protectors are a bit better than the other smart outlets on the market because modern PC's Wattage is under 11W and will turn off all the power saving outlets whenever it goes into sleep. (Which is unfavorable for me because I don't care for the TV turning off all the time).

Saves electricity and the life of the electronic appliance.
Works great. I have all my video game consoles and TV plugged into it. One button gives them power. This will help the power supplies to my consoles last longer while also saving electricity. One note is you will need to charge the USB power button first otherwise you will be troubleshooting why the outlets will not turn off.
