It's functional and decorative. It's much heavier than I had anticipated. I suppose this could be a good or bad thing. It's not practical for long period use (hand cramp). However, the weight gives the impression of quality and it feels nice. Admiring the magnifying glass or using it for a quick closer look warrants its weight. The glass lense is thick and domed on both sides. I absolutely agree with the reviews regarding the power of the lense or lack thereof. I'm not convinced it's 6X magnification; I may be wrong. The alloy metal is made to look like brushed antique copper. The price is certainly right. It's a lovely magnifying glass and it's affordable.

I bought two different Magnifying glasses from two different companies for my great aunt she was amazed by how well this one worked. It was a little heavy but very good quality would highly recommend buying. The other magnifying glass from the other company she couldn’t even see everything was blurry very poor quality for the price of that one.

A solid, well made, not cheap feeling magnifier. For all the ones I've bought on Amazon, this is the best lense I've purchased. It's not the most powerful, I knew that when buying it (just wanted enough magnification to read small print while cooking, temperatures, etc), but it is certainly the best made lense I own.

I purchased this for my kid sister (she likes to look at rocks/gems/minerals). I ended up using it a couple of times before I wrapped it, as I worked on my computer. This is just kinda a cool thing to have around, even if you don't need it on a day to day basis.

It's bigger than I imagined, but fits nice in the hand and looks nice.
