Works fast with SmartThings Hub 2!!
So I was a little skeptical of this Dome at first because i wasn't able to read and reviews on it, but i thought i would give it a try. I've had it for about a week now and its working great. The 3M tape on the back of the magnet part was messed up and didn't seat right, but that is an easy fix that I still need to get too....just gotta find my extra double sided tape somewhere around here. But after install I connected it to my SmartThings Hub 2 with no problems. Just pressed the inside button 3 times and my hub found it from like 30' away and one wall between it. There is a small red light that lightly flashes when it senses the door opening and closing. The signal is sent right away and the hub reacts immediately. I set it to turn on the 3 different backyard lights whenever the back door is open at night. The lights turn on with less than 1/2 second delay. Basically while I am still opening the door the lights are turned on. Thats fast enough for my liking and faster than some of the reviews I have read on other door sensors.Another positive to this sensor is that it is small and round, so its hardly noticeable but it looks nice/cool when you do see it. I'm enjoying the Dome so far and will update if anything changes. But so far I'm planing on getting some more for my other doors. If your looking for a door sensor and like the way the others one look or perform, I would give Dome a try, I'm interested to read other people experience with it.

Pairs easily, quality Z-wave device - but a tad large
Paired easily - love the button and the LED feedback to ensure a good feedback loop.Reduced by one star as the magnet side is WAY bigger than it needs to be. We have a frame around the outside surround of the door so limited where it could go. Even taking the plastic βshellβ off the magnet left it a little on the large side - around 7mm.If you donβt have a frame around the outside edge of the door then the size wonβt bother you and the electronics in this are some of the better ones out there.

Works good - once you make this easy adjustmnet
At first this sensor frustrated the hell out of me as it would frequently lose connectivity with my Vera controller. After much frustration and experimentation, I discovered the cause of the problem: loose batter contacts. The fix is easy: simply remove the battery, bend the metal battery contacts on the unit out until almost flat, reinstall the battery while carefully bending the battery contacts back in place just enough the allow the battery to fit. This will keep the battery nice and snug and you should no longer have any problems with this item.

But the other two are working perfect. I've swapped two sensors from one door to ...
UPDATE: Now that I've had these for a couple of months they keep having more issues. All three of them have disconnected from the Hub, stating low battery but the batteries are still showing 100% after adding them back to the system. They also have stopped reporting every time the door is opened or closed. Their is a small red LED that will flash when the door is opened or closed and thats not happening.I've bought three of them and one is not working as well as the other two. It doesn't send the signal when the door has been closed correctly. I'll open the door (get the open door alert), shut the door (don't get any alert), reopen the door (I get two alerts at once for the door being closed and then opened), close the door (get closed door alert). But the other two are working perfect. I've swapped two sensors from one door to another and the problem followed the sensor so I know its nothing to do with distance from the my Wink Hub.

Nice small form factor
Nice, responsive sensor with a smaller form factor than many of it's counterparts. As far as I can tell, this sensor doesn't have a "tamper" indicator like some of it's counterparts. Lastly, the battery terminals seemed a bit loose when I first installed the battery. They didn't register the batter so I had to bend the connectors out slightly to improve the connection. This sensor paired easily with my Wink Hub

Better than I expected!
I decided to start incorporating smart home features after a not so great experience with a dog sitter. I opted to go with the Dome door sensor (paired with a wink hub 2). I got 3 sensors but have only paired 2 so far. I have a sensor on my back sliding glass door and my basement window. I love that with the Wink, I can set robots to notify me when the door or window opens and closes. The alerts are almost instantaneous. Even the basement window sensor (furthest from the hub) alerts come through at most a second after being triggered. Over time, I will add these sensors to all of my doors and windows.

Odd Battery Size
I purchased the DMWD1 in April of 2017. I'm now replacing it with an Aeotec model due to the crazy stupid battery size that this thing takes. It uses a CR 14250SE, which I've found to be very difficult to find. Yes, you can order some of these batteries direct from China, but for the cost and quality of those batteries, it just isn't worth it.I found a local battery shop that specializes in odd sizes. They didn't even have this thing in stock. They were able to order me in one that arrived in a paper envelope, obviously from a bulk box. Just like the original battery that came with my sensor, the new battery was down to 50% in just a couple months.Save yourself the headache and just find a sensor with normal sized batteries.

I really like this product and will definitely be buying more
I am using this product with my Smartthings. Before buying this one, I tried the ones from Ecolinc but they really did not have enough range to work with my system so I returned them. After doing more research, I found that this was a better option for me. The range is much better and I like the mini, modern design. I had trouble with the range of one of my sensors, but after adding another z-wave device in between it and the hub, the signal was repeated and it worked fine. I really like this product and will definitely be purchasing more to go along with my ever growing system

3 of 4 sensors failed within 3 weeks
I ordered these due to cost and some good reviews (I was thinking most ppl only post bad reviews, never come back and post good). I was wrong. One sensor would not connect to hub but magnetic hall switch worked. 2nd one connected and would not read any magnet. 3rd one works but goes through 2 batteries a week. So another failure.Company refunded me for 2 sensors but I didn't get the 3rd one figured out till I was past return date. My bad!Go with fibaro or anything other than DOME!

Out of two purchased: One great and the other a dud.
Update: I ordered two more just in case I had bad luck with my first order. Both were defective. One had the same symptoms as the first one I sent back. The second did not work at all. Both paired OK but the actual sensor portion did not work as it should in one and not at all in the other. Sending both back thanks to Amazon's great policy I have not been burned. So out of a total of four only one worked and that one has been working fine.I really wish they had all worked. Will have to seek out another manufacturer.*******I ordered two of these. One set works perfectly. Both sets were very easy to pair. The other very unreliably. It is not the connection but the actual unit. I will trigger an alert for the first couple of events and then dead to the world till you open it up and press the button three time to reset. Not happy at all with what I would give as a 50% failure rate.Too bad because if they both worked I would have rated these at 5 stars. A little to expensive to take a 50% chance on receiving a good one.

Poorly designed
I bought 5 of these over a year ago, 3 are now dead. All of the same problem: the magnetic contacts that determine if the door or window is opened or closed eventually stick together which make the sensor see the door as always closed. I managed to get one to work again, almost. The contacts are so fragile that just closing the case on the device actually dealign them and we're back to an always closed door, even if it is open. I ended up thrashing it with the others and replacing it with something better designed.

Easy to install but...
The hardware is easy to pair with my Samsung Smart things hub.. but the reception is not ideal. It's about 60% coverage compare to the Samsung one. Also, the contact area for the magnets on both pieces is way too small, so you will need to mount side way for it to work. But it is not overly secured mounting it this way... Not recommended for this reason. However, the price is good though.

Blew through Batteries in weeks
I have another Z-wave door / window sensor from another brand that has been in place for close to a year.. Initially this one performed just as well then stopped. I tried a fresh battery and it started working perfectly again only to die again in only about 4 weeks..I suspect the device is defective, not going to chance it on this brand again based on some of the other reviews.
