This multilayer cover is specially designed for protection of Infrared Amethyst Mats from moisture, water other liquids spills and stains, sweat, lotions, and dust mites. Protector is great for home and especially for health professionals using the Mat in their treatments.The cover is completely permeable for Far-Infrared Heat and Negative Ion treatment.It consists of 5 layers.The top layer is made of premium natural Bamboo terry fabric with high anti-bacteria and mites protection properties. Hypoallergenic material prevents skin irritation and feels soft upon touch.Fitted layer with 7d needle punched polyester and cotton provides high sweat absorption maintaining the top layer dry. It is especially usable during high heat sessions. This layer also provides extra softness and more comfort for prolonged sessions or sleeping.Waterproof but air and vapor permeable heat resistant polyurethane membrane barrier repels fluids but allows the air and moisture to pass away from the mat. Non-woven fabric layer provides extra ventilation space between the mat and protector membrane.Bottom knit fabric layer increases breathability of the cover and mat.The combination of these materials assists in preventing moisture from entering the Amethyst Mat while transferring moisture outward.Protection Case is easily installed on the Mats with special elastic strap skirt with the Mat terminal connection holes. It is extremely convenient especially for the bigger size heavy Mats because you do not have to lift the whole mat or turn it upside down to put on or take the protector off.The protector is not machine washable. Cover it with a towel or washable protector on top. Disinfect once a week on the mat on high heat
