ARC Accessory Rail kit for ACH/MICH Combat Helmet

Great set of rails. Do not work on xl helmets
I bought these rails originally for my xl ach helmet. I haven't decided yet to high cut so I wanted a rail thay followed along the outcrop and fit without cuts. Found these and thought great. Super fast shipping, they are plastic but seem to be fairly well made. Overall product quality I'd give it 9/10. Comes with new screws to replace current. I saw alot of people saying the provided ones were not long enough, but they worked for me so maybe they've fixed that issue.Fast forward to install. These rails are predrilled to mount into existing chin strap holes. Problem is i have a large head, and wear a XL helmet. This puts the screw holes further apart. And would not work. Meaning either I drill new holes, or they will not work. Luckily I have a size medium for my girlfriend, and mounted these onto her helmet (pics attached), and they work/fit great. All in all, if you have a normal sized head these are well worth it at the price point. If you wear an xl like me. They won't fit sadly. I wish they had one for my helmet size as I'd gladly buy another set.

Good product
The media could not be loaded. For anybody wondering if these will fit on the marine corps issued ech Kevlar, they will. However the screws the come with the rails are too short as are the ones already on the helmet. I used the screws in the attached picture from Home Depot. 1 1/4” in the back, 1” in the front. I also used the washers to keep the screws from slipping through. I’m gonna paint them black later. It’s not the cleanest look but it does the job. Put the rear screw in first, then use the front screw to kind of flatten out the rail onto the helmet to get it to line up. It’s a little tough but will work. Overall these are decent rails. They’re not super super high quality but they’ll work and are better than spending $112 on the real opscore rails.

Different Hardware Needed
I was successfully able to install this on a regular Army issued ACH over the helmet cover.1.) The hardware provided will not work on the back portion. Buy M6 - 1.0 x 25mm socket cap screws. They are $1.77 for two at Home Depot. Use them on the rear potion for mounting.2.) You can use the included mounted screws for the front portion, but it is preferred to use the normal nut that goes into the chinstrap end. If you cannot work it in, which I can confirm it works, you can always use the same screws as 1.) above.3.) The mystery is the length. The included hardware is probably 20mm in length. 25mm will do the trick. Another review mentioned 8mm. That is smaller than the usual army issued ACH screws which are 15mm. 8mm will not work.See my picture. It works.

solid plastic material, only downfall is the rear bolts were short. m6x25mm bolts get the job done.
its a decent mount for whats its worth, if the manufacturer got longer bolts then it would be a solid product.

Eh
It doesn't sit flush against the helmet which leaves a gap making the rear screws too short

Works with issued ACH
The media could not be loaded. Installed it on my size medium ACH from when I was in the army and works great. The back screws are too short to install so pick up some longer ones from Home Depot. Also based on some of the reviews and the way it fits on a medium, I don’t think it will work on size large + helmets

Rails worked great on a surplus ACH... just be sure to BUY LONGER SCREWS!
If you want the bungees for these rails, buy this kit instead (I had to buy the bungees after-the-fact): https://www.amazon.com/DLP-Tactical-Accessory-Combat-Bungees/dp/B07D5P2S7MAlso, included screws WILL NOT fit a ballistic (ACH) helmet. Save yourself some pain and get these screws at the same time: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0813RG5L3As FYI, I paired with this replacement helmet strap (note, you will use the nuts that fit into the plastic attachment points BUT you will not use the screws, again buy the longer ones above):https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AUQNTD8Finally, your rear screws will pop through the nuts a tiny bit... this is what I picked up to cover the end of the screws, worked perfectly:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N632TQ7Hope this saves you some time researching. I picked up my helmet used at a surplus shop... a few coats of paint and all these tweaks, couldn't be happier!
