When I ordered this product I did not expect it to be as sturdy as it is. It has a lot of weight to it as it is almost completely made of metal and feels like a quality product. I would absolutely recommend it to everyone.

There's a lot of ways to push the caliper piston back in, you technically don't need one of these BUT it sure made the job easy, and it can't push the piston too far and ruin the seal. Of all the brakes I've done the last one was the easiest!

The hooks work great. The tool itself is not very sturdy. I couldn't compress the rear brake calipers. The metal on the tool bent as I tried to compress the caliper. Worked just fine on the front calipers.

Pros: delivery was fast as *, thick metal plates, good conceptCons: ratchet binds, plate hits rivet, not smooth at all,Thought this was a great idea as a tool to have in my box as a daily, but turns out I was wrong. The ratchet binds like crazy so smooth operation is out of the question. The plate at its lowest point contacts the ratchets rivet (but I suppose the ratchet likely wouldn't be in that position when the tool is in operation..but still). Great idea as a tool, but I'd still be quicker with channel locks (even with the brembos as long as you're careful). Kind of a useless tool, but nice to have as a plan-d if all else fails?? Delivery was ridiculously fast though..

Bought this with high hopes, however the ratchet mechanism in mine was defective and would skip when you tried to use it. Completely useless, ended up returning for a refund. Such a great concept, yet so poorly executed.

This works fine to push in caliper pistons however I would not recommend this to use in a shop as it can be slow to use compared to others. Basically ratchet to push the piston in and then ratchet again in reverse to remove this tool. But for a home mechanic, this is fine.

well ok tool. actually its too large to fit into caliper leghth wose. and the small spreader is too small.and i cannt line it up because the silly 2 magnets that holt plate... one was gone. i dont even know if it fell off during use or if it came missing. so now tool is difficult to use.

I used this product on a brake job on my 2018 Silverado LT. Since I was installing new pads and rotors I needed the calipers to open evenly and easily with this tool, so that the new pads will install with less fussing around. I would recommend this product if you like to do your own brakes and its not expensive either.
