Pokemon: Brilliant Diamond (Nintendo Switch)

Wonderful game, has brought me very many hours of fun! Would recommend for any Pokemon fan!

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond is a love letter to longtime fans of the series. From the moment I started the game, it brought back a wave of nostalgia—revisiting Sinnoh with its classic towns, familiar music, and beloved Pokémon felt like reuniting with an old friend. The updated visuals are clean and vibrant, striking a nice balance between the charm of the original DS version and the polish of modern hardware.Gameplay-wise, it sticks close to the original formula, which is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s simple, relaxing, and reminds me why I fell in love with Pokémon in the first place. The turn-based battles, the gym challenges, the hunt for that perfect team—it’s all still here, and still just as fun. The added quality-of-life improvements make the journey smoother without changing too much of what made the original special.If you played Diamond or Pearl growing up, this is an absolute must. It’s not a reinvention of the wheel, but it doesn’t need to be. Brilliant Diamond is a faithful remake that brings back the magic of childhood while gently polishing it for today’s generation. Whether you’re a veteran trainer or new to Sinnoh, there’s a lot to enjoy here.

Don't get me wrong, I would honestly give this game 5 stars if it weren't for the delivery. The game came very speedily, but the dialga figure that was supposed to come just a day later is estimated to come between the 7th of December and the 7th of January. I don't mind too much, I'm just a bit annoyed.

If you liked the original red/blue/yellow games on the Gameboy then these will take you right back to those days - albeit with new Pokemon and an updated interface on a newer system!Can't really go wrong for hours of fun this will suit you down to a tee.I've spent countless time on these games and with the new and improved gameplay, I can't see that it will change anytime soon.Highly recommended.
