Weldon Owen The Official Downton Abbey Cookbook Collection: Christmas Cookbook,

Good price for a Christmas present!
The two books have many of the same TITLED recipes, with different ingredients and ways of cooking. For example, Yorkshire Pudding (puffy bread muffins) is in both books, but different recipes. Very interesting to read, nice photos, and explanations for the times in which these foods were cooked or baked. Will give to my "cooker" friend for Christmas!

Such an amazing purchase
I bought this thinking there would be only hours-long-recipes or things overly complicated and boy, I was wrong.Sure there are more elaborares things, but they are all doable.I have mase the pikelets and madeleines so far, and they tasted great. I want to make the filet mignon lili next, but that will probably be a weekend thing, since it is more complicated.Overall, i love the recipes and how there is a historic explanation. There is also a commentary section in the beginning in which the author explains the ingredients and now you can replace them. Just an amazing purchase.

Great set of books
We knew the recipes would be good but didn't realise the research that went into each one with great explanations on them. Photos are awesome too for any fan of the series.

They look nice!
I just ordered these cookbooks a few days ago and they have already arrived. Very prompt delivery and the books came through shipping beautifully. The two books are in a stylish case, but since they are to be a friend's Christmas gift I won't be breaking the plastic seal and poring through them. My friend should love these cookbooks, she's a Downton Abbey fan.
