Easy to install, peace of mind when traveling. Not that there is high risk of propane tanks getting stolen but now it is no longer a worry. To be safe, lock up your batteries, generator and propane tanks on your RV especially if you are leaving it unattended.

The tank lock assembly is great but the padlock that comes with it is trash. The lock that came with mine is jammed up and I can’t even turn the passcode numbers to operate it so I’ll just have to get a new lock for it.

This is a brilliantly designed product to lock your double RV propane tanks. Simple installation, and comes with its own lock that you can customize your own lock code! Great product, well built, nice and heavy duty security.

The components are made well and really thick making them hard to cut and or bend. The kit comes with (2) "wing nuts". One is for 1/2" threaded shaft and one is for 3/8" shaft. Most trailers will use the 1/2" nut. I drilled out the 3/8" wing nut to 1/2" and slipped it over my 1/2" threaded shaft and tack welded it to the shaft. See the pic of the wing nut welded to the shaft. I Installed the shaft as shown in the second pic, then the tanks, lock base plate, threaded wing nut with matching holes and the provided lock as shown in the third pic. The addition of the wing nut will keep someone from using vise grips/pliers/crescent wrench to unscrew the 1/2" shaft from the trailer propane mount. The wing nut is large enough diameter to keep someone from trying to tip or manipulate the tanks. The added nut does not touch the tanks so there should be no abrasion damage to the tanks over time. This mod adds a bit more security. Make sure you weld the nut LOW enough so it will not interfere with your regulator but high enough to take up the space between the tanks.

This system is easy to install and very secure. The tanks would have to be damaged in order to remove. Nice feature is the lock programming so an easy to remember code may be used.
