Sturdy and Bright
I bought this because my birds ate the cord on the light that attached to the cage. This one is an independent light with a weighted base and chew-proof housing.

It is sturdy!
I read a review saying this isn't a sturdy lamp and it definitely is very sturdy. If it isn't, it would be because the user doesn't have the sections of the stem tightened enough. I would image if you carry and move the stand around that over time you could loosen the stem but just tighten it back up if this happens! I used another brand light in the past, clamping to cage. I definitely think this is the best avian light I have had and think it is a good value. Replace bulb every year and do not wait for the light to entirely burn out as the UV rays burn out before the actual light does. That is something important I have learned. Everyone who has a bird inside their house needs to have full spectrum avian lighting as you cannot rely on light coming through a window to provide enough sunshine.

Make sure you pick the right bulb volt.
Nice lamp.but to strong for uk volts bulb smoked.no problem in sending it tho.excelent company to buy from.
