Q: How do I take the clips off the laces if I put them on wrong?

Are you talking about the ones that go at the ends of the laces or the other ones? In the case of the latter, you press the buttons on each side of the clip. I don't think that the one on the ends was designed to be taken off. I tried and broke them.

Mine became less stiff over time as I wore my shoes.

I don't know the shoe you are referring to, but it should work with any shoe with traditional eyelets. You can cut them down to the size you need.
