Revised 11/23/2018This revised review is being updated. After the first use BOTH of these cable locks failed. If I could issue a zero star review I would. These locks are worthless. Save your money and get something else. These are horrible. I would highly suggest Masterlock reconsider using this lock with their name. It’s the worst lock I have ever owned.Old Review:I use the Python locks for my trail cams. I normally love these things. This cable is much smaller than the normal lock. Second, the two sets have different keys! Pass on this python and get the one with a bigger cable.

A great lock for making sure your game cameras stay attached to the tree you put them on. Would have given it a higher rating but the whole reason I bought the keyed alike 2 pack was so the same key worked for both locks - unfortunately they weren’t keyed alike.

These locks are lightweight and skinny diameter. Great for locking trail cameras to trees. Also good for securing tree stands to a med size tree trunk. Convenient that they are keyed the same. Fairly small key, so not sure of actual lock strength. But it is definately a deterrant for someone who migbt take something in the woods that was found unsecured.

DONT BUY!!!!! I don’t really use this cable unfortunately the second time I unlocked the cable it pulled right off. I’d hate for anyone to have this fail when it’s needed.

Had these two cables on trail cams over the course of a couple months this summer. One worked as expected. The other would not unlock. Realizing that my options were limited, I forced the key to the point where it broke in the lock and I was forced to cut the cable to get my cam back. I was 5 hours from home in the mountains so was fortunate to have wire cutover in my vehicle that could cut the cable. Given the small diameter it was not a problem, but the situation was a hassle and obviously the product was a fail. I suggest passing on this product.

The only reason I gave them a lower rating is because I purchased 2 locks together as a set, you would think they would send me 2 locks keyed alike as they showed and advertised the locks as a set, but no, I have different keys for each lock which is frustrating.

I use these with my 6 Browning trail cameras. Since the keys all look alike but are cut differently, finding the right key for the right lock is a chore. Additionally, the locks freeze, making unlocking them difficult and sometimes impossible.

These aren't going to stop someone who really wants your cameras, but it's kind of common knowledge that if someone wants your stuff bad enough, they'll get it. But it's a nice thought to think that you've done everything you could to keep your stuff YOURS. I spent a lot of money on my cameras, and I didn't want to wait til someone stole them to wish I had bought some cable locks. Easy to use. Worth the money.
