AlphaPooch Siesta Round Fleece Cat Bed, Coco, Medium

I purchased the Alpha Pooch in Natural, Size Medium, hoping our larger feline (13 lbs) could fit himself inside comfortably. There was no need to fear, the medium size could easily accomodate both himself and our smaller cat (6 lbs) at the same time! The bed is soft, feels very natural, and both cats took to it immediately -- as in, they leapt into it and settled in before I could remove it from the Amazon shipping box! Our larger cat regularly leans against the sides (see picture), contorting the Pooch to fit his odd sleeping positions, and the product has held up admirably, always springing back to its circular shape. If you are in the market for a cat bed, this is the one. Look no further. Purchase the Pooch.

This looks like a pretty good cat bed. When it arrived it was more square than round. The sides are fairly firm, like dense mattress pad foam covered in curly fleece. It looks cozy -- the pillow is very thick making the interior space not as deep as I had expected. As I believe another reviewer mentioned, the removable pillow is the only washable part -- also per a tag on the front. I wish I had believed him or her. This won't work for me but could for some folks.

I bought the SMALL size for my 10.2lb cat, and it is a perfect size. She curls up in a ball when she wants to be completely surrounded in the bed, and other times she'll stretch out her legs to dangle over the sides. She doesn't look cramped, and there is still some space between her and the walls when she curls up.I love that the walls of the bed are pretty strong, there's not flopping in and out of the bed. My cat loves to knead the bed, so it's already starting to lose of the tufts of fleece, which is my only complaint since I find these little tufts everywhere, but I guess that's to be expected after being clawed at every day.My cat loves this bed, so I'm a happy owner. Would buy again!

Steer clear of Overstock.com and Wayfair. They may say no problem returning an item but at what price. Of that 15.62 Istill need to pay UPS their shipping fee, wonder what will be left, not to mention driving over to a drop center to make this happen. Overstock is worse, there you need written permission to even consider returning an item. I purchased a saw blade thatwould have cost me more to return than just drop it in the garbage, which is exactly what I did. Buyer beware.

Updated Post for New Bed:Just received the new bed I ordered for my cat. Shipping takes a while as this item is not a Prime item. Opened the box to find a dirty used bed covered in animal fur and what appears to be long, black human hair as well. No sealed packaging, just shoved into a box. This is a great cat bed as my previous post shows but I'm pretty upset to receive it in this condition! My cat is picky about beds and this one is the one she likes. So, I've gone after it with a lint roller and hand vacuum to get as much of the animal fur off it, and I've put it in the spot she likes to see if she will take to it, despite being used and probably smelling like another animal to her. If she refuses to use it then I'm returning it just like the last person.Original Post for First Bed Purchased:My cat is curled up in it as I type this. She loves it! I ordered the small size and it fits my cat well. She is a slender, smaller cat but a full grown adult and she fits well within the bed and has some room to boot. I like the simple look of this bed and how thickly cushioned the padding is. The walls come up high around her, which most cats like. She can really tuck in and feel a little hidden and secure in this bed. The black is perfect for camouflaging her dark fur and the textured material is soft. It was just right for her and she took to it immediately after her old beloved bed bit the dust.

I did not think that I would be able to write such a GREAT review of this item... I ordered this on April 3rd... it came on April 5th... and I unpacked it and spent time to shape it into the round form (per the picture) and then I put it down on the floor... My cat went over sniffed it and walked away...possible failure??? So I got her "sleep blanket" (a baby blanket that I purchased to lay on top back of one of my upholstered chair - that she selected to sleep on) and covered the cushion with her "blanket" and within the hour she went slowly back to check out this new cat bed... she sniffed the blanket... the CAREFULLY and GINGERLY stepped into the circle, one paw at a time, (like she was stepping into a water puddle..:-}) then she sniffed the cushion edges against the wall of the circle... turning and sniffed the full circle. She evidently was satified as she sniffed the blanket again... then she started to "knead the bread" on the covered cushion... turning around SLOWLY... as she kneaded for a full 5 minutes... then she CAREFULLY and SLOWLY laid down on the blanketed cushion and looked at me and within 5 minutes she was curled up, laying on her side, with one paw over her eyes... SLEEPING! Callie takes two - 3 to 4 hour sleep sessions a day and she does not sleep any where else now. she sleeps ONLY IN THIS BED! I got the Natural, Medium sized bed... and she has room to curl up in it with about 2 inches from the sides... she likes the room... Thank you Amazon for making my cat such a "happy camper!" You shipped quickly, the price was great, and the product is wonderful. I would suggest that anyone who has this bed, to use a pillow case to cover the cushion... that way the pillow case can be removed to wash... with a second case to use to recover the cushion with. It will save the cushion's "fluffyness." Store the pillow cases under the cushion so they will have her "smell" on them. I give this Item 10 STARS! :-}

Big HIT, Tiff loves it and sleeps in it every day! It has a removable pillow that can be washed. The reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because the outside is not removable for washing.
