We tried different recipes but this just doesn’t work at all

I used this make Humbao (small/medium size) and it works but, you need to becareful when you close the clasp because it can be a pain to get it right and you can break it if you're not careful. Just take your time when using this utensil. Do not use too much dough. Flatten the dough with a rolling pin. Not too big but, kind of a small/medium size. I would recommend sizing it up and try one till you get the right amount of dough and flatness, then put your meat in the middle. Then promt the clasp upwards and let it do it's thing. Not bad but, it takes practice to get it the way you want it. Good luck. Semi-recommended.

Bought the 2 piece Chinese Baozi Maker; plastic to help with making momos/dumplings. BOTH broke with first use. And BARELY any meat was put inside the dumpling skin because it's obvious before you even try to close this thing that it never will with the 'typical' amount of meat I'd normal place inside the skin. And they STILL broke with first use. I'd buy the stainless steel one that makes the half moon shape. That one works well and is built well.
