Exceptional read
Zach Connor, known as Grizzly Killer, takes his family and a few Indian friends to St. Louis. The natives learn that the white man will never stop moving west and that both good and evil men exist everywhere. Benny sees his family is well and prospering, and Zach closes his chapter about Emma. Wonderful read.

Good read with the return to "civilization". One would never know just where civilization really
Please fix your references to the mules using the word donkeys twice. The chapters, for importance of reference, knowing a donkey and a horse equal a mule, is being misused.

Incredible legend!
After reading this the 5th book of the grizzly killer series I can't be silent any longer. AUTHOR Lane Warenski has created a legendary character with nearly equal cast of supporting characters both men and women, both white and native americans and both scenic, unforgettable nature landscapes and amazing animal friends and foe. Where the buffalo dance may be the best of the 5 and reminds me of the award winning Dances with Wolves. The author weaves the many different cultures into a very believable tale of survival, adventure and yes love. Love of family, nature and life. This 5th book continues the growth, maturing and roles of each characters. Each books begs us to believe the characters could have been real and hoping that they were. The story of the Grizzler Killer would be killer at the box office if there was film company daring enough to do it justice. Only problem, is there an actor that can capture the essence of the Grizzly Killer since neither John Wayne or Clint Walker are available.

Step back in time
This installment of the Grizzly Killer series is yet again another home run. The imagery, suspense and loveable characters make this a must read series. I honestly feel like I have grown to know Grizzly Killer killer and his Big Medicine Dog and Ol Red his mule, along with Running Wolf, and the entire cast of characters. Reading these novels is like getting in a time machine and stepping out during the early 1800's where Grizzly Killer and his clan and survive in the wilds of Utah by the code of honor, integrity, family and honesty. A must read for anyone.

Very exciting and Informative
If you would like to read tales of the old West and follow a fictional “family” of frontiersmen and Native Americans as they live day to day, this may be a series for you. The series is great for getting me through the monotonous months of the pandemic. Just try to get past the author’s somewhat less than standard sentence structure and grammar.

The Wild West Pre Gun Fighter
Great book in this series. Innocent West meets the future and foretells the end. I enjoyed this book almost as much as the previous four. The author continually makes the point that the romantic West was hard hard work with injury and death a distracted moment away.

Another great book by the author, just can't put the book down , once you have started it you have just to keep reading, there's plenty ofplenty of action in all of his books, I have read his first five books and now I am onto book six, they all keep you in suspense, I have told one of my friends and, he thinks there great as well.

Prejudice shown between whites and reds in 1830. Ignorance for some but not all. A good read in the saga of Zach and his family.
