Clumps well, doesn't control smell very well
Surprisingly clumps cat urine very well. Our cat eats wet food and his poo stinks terribly. Only one cat litter controlled better and that was silica crystals, but they also absorbed urine which we didn't find clean. We've moved our cat box outside and invested in a cat flap, so will continue to use despite smell control. Hopefully this is sustainable wood?

Gets Everywhere but Good
I was tired of how paper pellet litter was so wasteful and got grossly stinky very fast, no matter how diligently you scoop. This still is awesome in terms of clumping and not smelling. Only downside is it gets EVERYWHERE. I am not kidding. Absolutely everywhere. I have to vacuum like 3x per day. I have a litter catcher and it does nothing lol, probably because of my fluffy boy. Would rather have to clean more and have a natural alternative that doesn’t stink and is easy to scoop

My cats loved this.
Transaction from sand to this wooden-made litter was very easy. First, I added a small amount of this to the existing litter and by the time my cats got used to its texture and scent (it does not have an artificial scent though but it has a wood smell which is different than sand.) I increase the amount of the wooden litter until I totally remove the sand from the litter box. Now I am only using this litter. Less scattering, less smell and easy for them to manage their toileting.

Transition from Clay to okocat was smooth. Yay! No Gray Dust !! Love it !
My cat is handling the transition to the okocat quite well.Has adopted it in place of the clay litter we were using. No cloud of Gray Dust when dispensing or cleaning !!!! Yay !!!I would recommend. Not enough experience to give it a full 5 stars at this time.Yep... 5 stars now... works great! nice odor absorption! clumps great! nice light sawdust scent! love it!The price seems to vary up into the ludicrous range occasionally. And the sizes of the boxes varies quite often. Need to keep a close eye on the size and the cost to get an affordable solution.I like the 7.5Kg (16.6Lb) size that was selling for $26.66 from amazon.ca.It appears that only higher cost, lower volume boxes of Okocat are now available. :-(Still love the product though...2023.10.12--2036pt

Excellent litter!
My cats are very picky about their litter. Most clumping litters will give my male cat a UTI. This stuff is great! Naturally clumping, it does not give him a UTI and it really takes care of the odor. I scoop once a day before bedtime and the litter box will last at least 4-6 weeks with topping it off. Highly recommend over the commercial litters.

Good litter, much less tracking, doesn't ship well
Four and a half stars. I've been using this litter for about 3 months now. I have two cats, two litter boxes. Both cats are using this litter, one was a bit more difficult to convince, but she's finicky in general.I like the less tracking version a lot, but know that it is truly LESS tracking, not no tracking. I keep my boxes in the garage, fairly far (15+feet) from the door to the house with a rug and a mat between. Yet every other litter I've tried, my cats still track it into the house. (Sometimes way back into my bedroom!) It gets stuck in the pads of their feet, but this stuff is too big to stick in their feet. So now there's litter around the boxes and some farther around the garage, but it is easy to sweep up (unlike tiny bits of most other clumping litters). As for clumping, this one is a bit different. The clumps are not rock hard, but they work fine. My cats pee a lot and repeatedly in the same place, so their clumps get big. Usually it takes a couple scoops to get each one because they break. That's not an issue for me; I use a long handled scoop I bought on Amazon, which works well with it's wide slots. One minor downside is that it does require more shaking of the scoop to get the 'good' pieces through and back into the box because the pieces are larger. (They don't sift quickly back through.) You will need a scoop with wider slots, but they're not hard to find and this does clump well enough that wider slots are not a problem. I do suggest a deeper one over shallower.I had concerns about how long a single box would last, but it's been good. One medium box has lasted a month for one box, one cat. Odor control is great as long as there's enough litter where the cats pee and not bad even when my cats don't cover their poop. The smell in general is WAY better than clay litter, no ammonia or chemical smell at all. There is a natural wooden smell and some wood dust, which can make me sneeze, but I MUCH prefer that over the chemicals and asthma attacks from clay litters. I've used other natural litters for many years now (ones made from corn, paper, or grass) and find the odor control on this brand far superior.I've purchased four boxes of this through Amazon. Three medium size and one large. The large box was taped together & still completely crushed to the point that it had open corners when it arrived, but at least the litter is in a bag inside the box, so I could still use it. The medium boxes get crushed and litter goes everywhere (no bath inside). The first two medium boxes were okay, which is why I bought another. This one arrived inside an Amazon box with some drink mix and a supplement powder I also ordered. My food was covered in litter inside the Amazon box. So just the jostling inside the Amazon box from the shipping process somehow damaged the box of litter enough for litter to pour out everywhere.
