Adds color and extra life to your kitchen! ~The construction process: Red earthenware terracotta clay is rolled out into a slab then hand cut with a needle tool from the slab of clay into the pear shape, then it is smoothed with a damp sponge, dried and bisque fired in Momma kiln. ~Then added the decorative Majolica glaze: The pear is dipped into a special white glaze, covering the red color of the clay on the front, wax is placed on the back of the piece. When the white glaze is dried, using a watercolor brush and special stains and oxide colors mixed with water to create the detailed designs and textures of the pear, and signed on the back.
