From the Manufacturer This racy roadster creates realistic driving fun. The steering wheel has three horn sounds, moving windshield wipers, ignition key makes a revving sound, traffic signal lights up, three vehicle push buttons make sounds, There are left-and-right turn signals, the car radio plays frequency noises and music, the gear shift controls an electronic roller with moving images, and there's a removable, light-up phone with ring tones, a siren, fun sounds and giggles.

A winner
I read the reviews on this item and the upshot of all of them seems to be "Decent quality but too loud".Knowing that I purchased this for my 13 month old son as he (and I'm sure most children are) is obsessed with steering wheels. When I start my car he tries to push me out of the way to get to the driver's seat. Cheeky.Needless to say, his face almost melted with excitement as I unpackaged it.It's good quality and sturdy and has been subjected to many kicks, smacks and throws across the room.I don't find it too loud but, as I've done with many of his toys, if it was I'd stick tape across the speaker to muffle the sound. It works a treat. This toy is so good that if he's up to mischief in another room I can start the engine, hit the horn and he comes zooming back, leaving the cats to recover in peace. The only downside is that the left indicator light doesn't work. Apart from that it's just perfect and jam packed full of fun buttons, lights and knobs.

Lots of activity - a little loud
Purchased this toy for a 17-month-old boy. He enjoys playing with all of the features - the horn beeps and the gear shift moves (and the engine revs accordingly for drive or neutral - it even beeps for reverse) - the blinkers work from a stick attached to the steering column just like a real car. The buttons on the bottom make the proper siren noises of the vehicles they represent. You turn it on by turning the key. You can adjust the rear view mirror. The little car moves along the street in the picture window. (Incidentally, the nurse is the only little person that the car can run over. :)) The music the pretend radio plays is nice and the sound effects on the telephone are cute - neither are at all annoying. I would complain only about two things with this toy - first, that it is a bit loud - and there is no volume control (contrast - the telephone is a little too quiet) - and once you put the gear shift in forward drive, you can't turn off the windshield wipers. I would have found that to be a cool feature. We play with this toy very often, but not for long periods of time, as the little guy says it's too loud after a little while. I think it's still better than the competitor products and I would probably buy it again anyway. I just really wish you could turn down the volume a bit.

Great toy, poorly made
I really wanted a toy steering wheel that was an infant toy. Most seem to be steering wheels that play music and light up and have a lot of buttons. I was looking for a steering wheel that would encourage my kids to pretend to be driving, especially in the car. This toy hits the marks on that count, but it is poorly made. I returned the first one that I purchased because the roadway did not move as it is supposed to. The second one I received moves intermittently. If we jiggle it or move the shifter back and forth, it will start moving again.I kept the toy because both my kids (1 and 2 1/2) seem to enjoy it regardless. We let them play with it in the car on our long drive back from visiting relatives for the holidays, and it kept them both occupied for some time.I did not find it too loud or annoying, as other reviewers did, though both kids seemed to want to move the shifter into reverse position and leave it there, which means that it beeps like a truck backing up.

Good concept, poor durability
My 5 year old special needs son is obsessed with cars & the wheels on the bus song with his absolute favorite being windshield wipers. This is the only toy I've ever seen with "working" wipers so I had to get it. We got the toy in today & he definitely approves (which is not easy!) and has been sitting at it for over an hour (which is also not easy!). The features are all great, working mirror, wipers, phone, blinkers, horn? And even a little car you steer on a picture track. Very happy with this purchase.Update: Had to go from 5 stars down to 2 because the picture track and windshield wipers (the whole reason we got this toy) already stopped moving & now I have an extremely upset child. He watched it move all day and now it won't do anything except stutter a little bit.

Broke within a month
I was really excited about this steering wheel toy but was less than impressed when it arrived. It was already coming apart at the windshield. It makes a horribly loud noise when you turn the key that is supposed to be the sound of an engine. There is no off switch so if you accidentally hit it while cleaning or something, it makes noise. It has a screen that rotates a picture of a street with curves and a little toy car that moves with the steering wheel. It is a cute idea but the car doesn't line up with the curves in the road so it teaches bad driving. My son is too young to bang anything against this toy and I know no one has dropped it but it doesn't work the way it originally did. When you turn the key, the stoplight should go from red to yellow to green but ours is stuck on red and makes a screeching sound that bears no resemblance to an engine at all. The cell phone is not attached to the dashboard in any way and the sound on it is much quieter in comparison to the dashboard's noises. I did learn that if you accidentally hit something and want to stop the noise, push the blinker either way and it overrides whatever you pushed. I would not recommend this until they make some improvements to the quality and add features like sound control.

Loaded, but annoying
I wanted to get my 15 month old son a steering wheel toy since he had been so fascinated by them. While this toy is loaded- it has turn signals, different songs on the radio, windshield wipers, different horn sounds, car alarms, side view mirror, etc., etc., it is quite annoying. I wished I had been forewarned that there isn't a volume or on/off button. So beware parents! What we've had to resort to doing is hiding it until it's a more appropriate time of day to hear the car alarm being pushed continuously for 5 minutes straight. Kids on the other hand will love this toy. Lots of sounds and buttons to push.
