Ashwood Compact Desk

This is a great desk I’ve had it for several months now and still love it. It’s perfect for a small space, easy to assemble and feels sturdy. The quality is better than I had expected since it’s priced well and it’s nice to have drawers even though it’s such a small desk. I also like the style.

Good price, easy to assemble. Draws work well, good size for children or adults. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a simple, small, efficient computer desk.

Was looking for a nice looking, sturdy desk to fit into a small space, and this one fit the bill perfectly! Well made, went together easily, two nice storage drawers. Everything I needed! Would definitely recommend this product!

The only drawback was the screws on the drawers to now tighten down flush and there is a slight squeek when you close the drawers. Otherwise this would be a 5 star.Desk went together easily and was well received by the granddaughter! I like that it has two drawers for the supplies she needs when she is here.

I really wanted to give this a 5-star review, but simply can’t. I never expected it to be perfect for the price and I have some issues. I will say it seems very sturdy and looks good. The size is perfect for my needs.The top left corner is a little smushed, otherwise everything else is fine. I guess I expected more of a laminate. The top and drawers are wood covered with a heavy-duty vinyl contact paper. We’ll see how it holds up.As far as assembly goes, I had some issues. The instructions regarding the slides were a little confusing and did not seem to match the actual product. Some of the predrilled holes did not align properly, making drawer assembly difficult. I had to drill new holes in another location in order to align the front and get them to fit. In order to get the bottoms of the drawers to fit, I had to loosen all the screws, slip the bottom in and retighten everything. Putting the drawers back in was a little difficult, but once in work quite well.

Missing parts. Would be a great purchase if there was Quality Control. I purchased two of these. Both orders, three months apart from each other, were missing parts. In the first order it was just missing one small screw and that was fine. In the second order it was missing multiple parts and so the desk cannot be completed.Great price, quality, too bad I didn’t get all the parts.

I bought two of these for both my kids. I really like the design. It went together okay. I would say I am pretty experienced at putting furniture together and there was a part of the instructions that was confusing. However, I really like the desk and would buy again. It did not come damaged, but there is a small chip on the edge of the top. I think it happened after it arrived, but it shouldn’t be chipping already. I also bought two of the black/Ashwood chairs. They are fairly nice. I think they are comfortable, Sturdy, and go up and down easily. My only complaint is that the wood on the desks is slightly different from the wood on the chairs. I have called the company multiple times and they have not responded. I give their customer service one star. It’s been weeks.

I love this little desk. It's perfect in my small bedroom and just exactly what I was looking for! I work from home, so I use it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I'm a small, older woman, and I put it together myself......it was very easy! I highly recommend this for anyone who is in need of a sturdy little desk.

the desk is crisp and clean and aesthetically pleasing. The main draw back is the middle support has the hardware for the slide out tray and the drawer installed backwards. The drawer slide pieces are riveted, so we can't swing them around and adjust this. A whole new desk has to be sent out so we can swap out this defective middle piece! I'm hoping the new middle piece is not defective, otherwise it's going back. Before I started assembly, I checked that everything was in the box, but who knew to check the sliders for correct assembly.

The desk itself is nice, good quality, but showed up missing the four floor levellers, and the top right corner is lifting and cracking already. Unfortunately we needed it as a gift/ in a hurry, and had to modify it ourselves (made feet and sealed the crack), as we didn’t have time to return it. If it would have showed up with all parts and no damage- it would have been 5 stars!

OK desk but drawer rail defective and the pre drilled holes were not aligned to have drawer go in. It was more of hassle to return and replace. Disappointing!
