Chios Mastic Gum Masticha Resins Small Tears - Pistacia Lentiscus L. (1.5kg)

I get acid reflux. I find chewing gum is a non-invasive, drug free way of managing the symptoms to some extent. However, I worry about swallowing too much plastic from regular gum.I was pleasantly surprised at how gum-like this stuff is. It’s firmer than regular gum and a little more abrasive than regular gum so a little more care is needed but for the potential health advantages I think I’ll stick with it. Apparently there is some evidence that there are medicinal benefits to chewing mastiha so that’s good. We will see.It’s probably a bit more expensive than regular gum but I’ve noticed that I don’t need many tears to get a gum-sized piece to chew on so I think the hundred grams should last. I might even experiment with flavouring it with a sweetener and perhaps a drop of orange or peppermint essential oil. The pine-like flavour it has is not unpleasant.

I purchased the mastic in the hope that it might help my receding gums and general health of my mouth and digestive tract since both have been damaged by antibiotic treatment for root infections. I have been chewing the gum once a day for an hour or so for the past few days and my gums look pinker and to my mind a little less shrunken than previously. My teeth feel smoother and cleaner. I have also been taking mastic gum capsules for the past two months for my stomach, which was very sore feeling, and have experienced a big improvement there.I think this seller is reputable and that the product works, recommended.

Really disappointed because not only it is not a good quality, in fact it's the worst quality compared to mastic gum purchased from other sellers, but also found hairs and other garbage items in the sealed package, felt disgusted. Also the drops are not crystal clear as were those I bought from other places, 20% have small pieces of wood on them. I know this grows on trees but that's the difference in quality between what I bought before and this one.

This mastic gum is contained in a tightly sealed foil packet. The pieces vary in size medium to small, lots of them. The colour as it should be - pale, creamy white. Have no complaints about the quality of this gum, but, as with other gums I have tried, I always get a headache after chewing, this being one of the side effects I believe. I don't think you could get a better quality than this, it is easy to grind into a powder if you so wish. Delivery was quick (3 days coming from Greece).However, having praised the quality of this gum, I don't think I shall be using any more because of the bad headaches mastic gum gives me.

Great gum. I’ve been chewing or dropping a few tears into my red wine with a clove or two and it’s delicious in the wine once you let it stand for 30 minutes. Chewing it is not very pleasant at first but the taste goes away and my breath is fresh. I also notice it settles my tummy and doesn’t feel as bloated.

Bought this for indigestion (acid reflux) which I've never suffered from till hitting the menopause. It has really helped. I chew it as you would normal gum whenever I feel the need and it does seem to help. Plus it's all natural (I won't touch ant acid medication). I'll be ordering more if needs be.

I did not find this resin particularly fragrant. Pity, as Mastic gum usually produces a gentle yet lingering fragrance that impregnates rooms for days with one burn.

It's a very good product. At first feels a bit weird and the gum has no taste really (altough it has a bit of a smell of resin) but it did work. My partner who has sometimes digestive issues felt a difference in digestion immediately. Will definitely be buying again.
