Q: Are these damaged by water, or good to wear as a pool/beach shoe?

These sandals are actually “machine washable” according to the hang tag on the shoes and a label on the box…so I seriously doubt they will be damaged by water at a pool or the beach. The straps are elasticized fabric and the soles are “Goga Mat” which is a Skechers memory foam material.

Q: I normally wear a 8½ wide shoe. What size should I get? 8 or 9 wide? wide

I would try the 8 as they do stretch a bit with wear .I had that happen and went back to a 7 after buying the 8

Q: I'm a 9 and 1/2 should I order a 9 or 10?

I would size up. I wear an 8 to 8 1/2 medium. I ordered an 8 and they were tight. I own lots of Skechers shoes, so I was surprised.
