Great kart, but check it out first! Read below.
The go kart is excellent and fit adults and kids alike. I bought mine from a different website and wanted to share my experience. The TrailMaster 150 XRS is the lower model 150 they also have an XRX model that has extra lights, better rims, and a few other options. I have put around 10 hours on my go kart with my son. He is not old enough to reach the peddles so we sit on the passenger side and work the peddles while he steers. I would recommend the go kart to anyone wanting a kart to grow with their child. Now on to the main reason I am writing this review. My TrailMaster 150 with around 10 hours on it caught FIRE! It started in the electrical assembly cover due to a spare hot wire being wedged between the cover and the frame. The little use we put on it wore the wire down enough to arc on the frame and set the cover afire. Luckily it was snowing and the fire was easy to put out, however I would check the box before using the go kart. The wire was not visible upon assembly from the factory. It is a red wire with a black stripe that comes from the far side of the motor. It is not hooked to anything within the electrical assembly cover so I can only assume it is used in the XRX model. I have written the seller as well as the manufacture in hopes they better inform the public and check the product before it is shipped. This factory defect could have killed or injured my wife and son or could have burned my house down had it started after we parked the go kart.I have since located and fixed the issue and find the go kart very fun. I only gave it three starts to stand out and get your attention to this dangerous wiring issue that can be easily remedied. The only other gripe I have about this model is the safety belts tend to drag if someone wishes not to use the 5 point harness. I ruined one set and substituted the 5th point harness to make it a 4 point harness. I hope you find this informative.
