The Me Journal: A Questionnaire Keepsake (Gilded, Guided Journals, 3)

The cover is lovely, gold-edge pages, bookmark, inner front and back covers are fancyy. Might update later to mention how binding holds up, but looks like it'll last. On a practical level, this journal has sections where you can ask others questions which is fun because I'm sure friends/family might want to participate after seeing the journal. I wasnt fond of the questions that ask "what do you think of when you hear..." because I obviously think of the object mentioned (but it's not like that for more abstract terms, which do appear on some of those pages).The back of the book has pages for your bucketlist which is arranged w/ a letter on top so you can alphabetize those dreams. The book asks details of favorite movies/books/music. To rate on a scale of 1-10 the importance of certain personality traits in friends and potential partners. The book is quite thick so I havent gone through every page but I havent seen any questions that really "bothered" me as far as level of inappropriateness goes. It does ask about your greatest kiss, thoughts on online dating, and if a close friend has ever confessed their love for you. Very interesting indeed! Though I could've done without the underwear question. Hope this review gives a good idea of the type of content in the journal. Enjoy!

Honestly, I convinced myself one night that I really needed this book, that I really needed to answer odd questions about myself so that my future self would be able to read them and be like,"Ahh m'god, im so glad I did this!"I may be right, or I may be wrong-but after 3 days, I laid it to rest on top of my bookshelf and it has stayed there for over two months.Maybe its a personality thing, or maybe its just kind-of-sorta something that is a good idea, at the time and unessesary to own.Let's be honest, its probably just me.The book itself is pretty, classy and it has a golden trim to each page. The questions are very interesting, great distraction if you'd like some time spent off of your phone, or mind off from life. It also is a little self revealing.I'd say buy it. I think you'll enjoy it for however long you choose.

This book is amazing. I have actually bought several more for gifts. I give them to friend's daughters who are entering high school with a card saying "It's important to know who you are & what you believe in as you enter high school and your teens

Overall this is quite enjoyable and pretty relaxing to sit with and fill out while pondering the answers to the questions asked. I find it quite satisfying and cathartic during some me time. I am not crazy about the size and feel it should be real notebook journal size instead of the tiny miniature size it is. The tiny size makes for not enough room to write the answers u want. I wanted it to be something I could really describe myself in the answers and there doesnt seem to be much space to really elaborate with some answers. Being a writer I tend to want more than a three word answer worth of space and like to be descriptive which I think it should make the room for as it's a book about u. I love the design and gold lined beautiful pages. I love how it has hundreds of pages worth of questions. Aside from small size and space issue for writing, u do get a lot for what u pay for in the volume of pages and questions itself. would make a wonderful gift for someone who is fine with short answers. Cute little keepsake.

I hang one of these and I really enjoy writing in it and learning about myself. I ordered this one for a friend that's having chemotherapy and she loves it. I wanted her to smile while writing in it.

Have only gotten about 20 pages into this journal but I’ve enjoyed filling it out so far and look forward to working through the rest of it. The questions are unique and the varied types of questions (check box, either or, open ended) keeps things from getting boring. The pages are thick and good quality - I haven’t had any bleeding through pages even though I write with a lot of pressure and use a thick 0.7mm gel pen.

Read the size of the book as it is smaller but I find it just the right size to keep anywhere, nightstand, living room, in your bag. Some questions don't fit my life but for the most part it makes you think of things and it is a nice book.

This journal has good questions, but obvious editing errors. Lots of repeat questions, and I got really sick of the "Right now I'm thinking...." and the "I'm inspired by ...." pages that repeated over and over. I suppose if someone just fills out a page or 2 a day, and maybe took a whole year to actually fill it out, you would have different answers over time. But there were many pages I skipped over because I didn't have an opinion (such as favorite alcoholic drinks, or favorite pop artists) so I went through it faster than that. Also, why is this book so SMALL?!? Maybe there have been other versions printed by other publishers that were normal sized, but my book is literally the size of my hand. It makes writing in it really hard, and some of the questions deserve longer answers than the little bitty lines that are given. I bought one of Shane Windham's other journals- it's in a different format, so we'll see how it goes.

Bought for my mom and dad! They love their little book! Different questions and little blurbs on every page! Would love to buy one for myself.

Amei, apesar do livro ser de um tamanho bem pequeno, o que dificulta a escrita (pelo menos pra mim) a criatividade e as recordações as quais ele te faz pensar compensam a falta de espaço pra escrever.

Love this! I bought it to keep me occupied in hospital but I haven't even gone in yet and had lots of fun filling it out! Its good there are so many pages! Going to buy another as a gift for a friend :) its such good quality too!

It helps you discover many things about yourself by asking some simple questions you never asked about yourself. :-)

It's a great gift for the writer of the family or keep it for yourself. It is a great way to get to know yourself deeper. It's a great family history gift about who you are. Keep it tucked away for others to keep when your gone. A journal all about you and who you are is a cherished keepsake to hold onto to look back on.
