This thing is not worth $50
The joint that allows for tilt adjustments is tightened by a locknut. This makes it very difficult to work with. A small wrench is included but still not easy to get it perfect. The two screws that hold the ceiling mount to the down-rod allow too much play as well. I bought this to go with an Epson HD730. If you have one of these, don't buy this mount. The design of the Epson attach points is not compatible with this mount. You can really only use two of the arms. I ended up eliminating the arms and going with an aluminum plate. Ultimately this mount is not worth the money it cost and I could have had the same results with a $20 unit.

Works well with Epson 2030
Just purchased the Epson 2030 and needed a ceiling mount but couldn't find any mounts listing in their descriptions they were ok to use with the 2030. This mount has just the right amount of extension tube included to accommodate the specific image throwing angle associated with the Epson 2030 so your image is not on the ceiling with out having to distort your image with an extremely tilted angle, the unit has very good tilting ability as well as 360 Degree swivel ability. If you have any doubt about what mount is ok to use with the Epson 2030, this unit will work just fine.

Mounted a smaller projector easily
I bought this to mount a smaller projector thats about five pounds and it worked nicely. It is pretty universal and mounted it without a problem and included the right screws for the job. It was nice to mount to the ceiling since we just attached it to a horizontal 2x10 that runs across the ceiling. The tilt on the mount doesn't tighten enough in my opinion, if you place it where you need it, it should stay. However, if you adjust cables or anything it will move up and down fairly easily.

Not *quite* a universal mount
I used this to mount an Optoma HD20 to my ceiling - this projector has several mounting holes, of two different sizes - one large and three small. None of the the bolts (three different sizes) included w/this mount fit the small holes on the projector - they are too large. A quick trip to Home Depot revealed the smallest-sized bolts were likely "8-32" screws - best I could tell, they are 5/8" long. I attempted to use the smallest screws H.D. offered (6-32), and one seemed to mount properly in the projector, but the others I was unsuccessful, and I didn't want to force them in. For the LARGE bolts that came w/the mount, I was more successful - it fit securely & easily. The mounting arms did not mount as "symmetrically" as they appear in the picture (caused by the asymmetrical layout of the mounting holes in the projector), but overall the connection felt secure. I would recommend drilling pilot holes for the ceiling mounting plate, if you are screwing into studs - the mounting screws are pretty large. My ceiling is ~ 9ft. high, and even though I mounted this at the shallowest depth (including the extension tube), it appears to hang low enough that it could be a hazard for taller guests (but easy to reach focus/controls) - I may try to mount this w/out the tube.

Good basic, low profile, ceiling mount for projector
Very good. Just make sure you have a stud finder. I don't recommend this product without screwing it into a stud.Relatively easy to figure out. If you have doubts, find someone who knows better.I tried a few different projector mounts before I settled on the functionality and simplicity of this one. I like the relative inconspicuousness of this product

What u pay is what you get.
As I said, what you pay is what u get.Pros: cheap, very easy to connect.. multiple options to connect to projector. Everything included in the box.Cons: provided screws for projector did not match the length so had to get shorter screws. Mount could has only adjustment of 30 degrees vertically. No horizontal adjustment. When I got it mounted first, it was at least 20 degrees cross. I had to play with the alignment for the screws that connect to projector to make it more straight.I would not recommend this if you were a one-time DIY person.

Great mount, very solid
I was a little hesitant to get this mount since I bought an Epson 8350, which is maybe 3 months on the market, but it fits great. Everything on the mount is solid metal and powder coated for a clean finish. I mounted mine in my basement to the rafters and drilled a hole through a drop ceiling tile. looks very clean and professional. My only wish is that you could run cables thru the extension tube. The tube is hollow, the ceiling bracket is hollow, but the universal projector mount part is not. But, for the price, it cannot be beat.
