Funny story for little ones
My son loves this story, he has had it read to him every bedtime since it arrived and we read it multiple times throughout the day too. Bright colours, great illustrations and a funny story line. Definitely worth the buy

Amusing and good fun
Fun story. Not quite as good as "can't take an elephant on a bus" but still great fun! My son loves the lemmings 🤣

A Great Summer Read For Lots of Giggles!
You Can't Take An Elephant On Holiday is a fun story for Summer about different animals who cause mischief when they are on holiday and the silly things that happen. This is a brilliant story and one the children giggled at throughout the book. We loved seeing a new animal on each page with some of these being animals the children new well like elephants and lions and others that they hadn't heard of that they learnt a bit about through the book like the bison and armadillo. It is great that we get to see some less common animals in the book as it left the children intrigued as to what they were and it was a nice change to get the children thinking about what they might be rather than the common animals most children know and love. The illustrations are the best part of this book with colourful action packed pictures showing the trouble the animals (or humans!) found themselves in on holiday. Some of the children's favorites were seeing the lion and the armadillo and they said they'd not want to be on the lions bus either! We really enjoyed this story and it was the perfect book to engage the children with it's simple story and funny pictures, a brilliant read.

A real page turner, bursting with humour and surprises!
You Can’t Take an Elephant on Holiday is the fourth instalment in this laugh-out-loud series. Each book starts with – as the titles suggest – an elephant causing calamity by taking on an unlikely task. What follows is spread-after-spread of rhyming genius brought to life by David’s trademark illustrations. The books read like a list of the worst animals to attempt the activity, in this case, holiday makers! My daughter found the armadillo building a sandcastle hilarious. You just never know what crazy scenario Patricia and David will come up with next! You Can’t Take an Elephant on Holiday was the perfect edition to read during the pandemic, when holidays have been cancelled – I was utterly swept away in the holiday mayhem! You Can’t Take an Elephant on Holiday is a real page turner, bursting with humour and surprises. Every book in this series has put a smile on our faces. I am in awe of how Patricia and David keep each book feeling fresh and with even wackier, crazier scenarios than the last.*I received a complimentary copy of this book. This voluntary review contains my honest opinion.

A new book from our favourite series!
This is the latest in a brilliant series of books. 'You can't take an elephant on a bus" was one of my daughter's favourite ever picture books and the subsequent books are just as good. This book has lots more animals in funny holiday situations that really make children laugh! My daughter loved the rhino stuck inside a tent at a campsite and was really imagining what it would be like to have piranhas in her paddling pool! The illustrations are absolutely hilarious too and so detailed! We will definitely be buying this when it comes out in May. It would be a great book to have in an Early Years or Key Stage One classroom and would really compliment a seaside/summer holiday topic at school. A must have picture book in every children's collection.Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for this advance copy.

Enjoyable, easy to read and well illustrated
Brought the whole series after my son got 'You can't put an elephant on a bus' as a present. Easy and fun to read. Although, they do get a little samey after a while. And in retrospect, if they hadn't been on reduction, I may not have bought them all. But, individually, I would recommend them.
