No I used it in the US and it worked fine.

Q: Will this device work in Europe and Asia?

I can’t confirm Europe or Asia, but I took it to Africa and it worked perfectly fine. Make sure the place you’re taking it has a SIM card. Most carriers started using E-SIM these days. But other than that it works great!
