Rubie's Adult Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory Deluxe Willy Wonka Costume

I spent considerable time researching this costume. I was nervous about making the correct selection and read all the reviews. I’ll start by saying I am 6 feet 2 inches and weigh about 230 pounds. I decided to order the standard fit, based on two other reviews.So, it’s a costume. It’s made of costume material — it looks good, but it’s not designed for anything else; just to look good. The vest is like a bib. It is sown into the coat and ties in the back. The collar and tie are also sown into the coat. There are hook and loop tabs in the back of the collar to adjust the neck size and close it up. The coats, collar and pocket flaps are reinforced with foam to give it definition and shape.The hat is nice, but it is tight and if you are planing on a wig of curly hair, probably will need to be replaced. I bought a wig and brown hat from Spirit Halloween.It’s a movie accurate costume which I will defiantly use again, some time down the road.

A little flimsy material but what do you expect.

It is roomy and fits well. I wore it with a long sleeve undershirt. I paired it with some light colored khakis, a cane, and bought a separate hat. The hat from this outfit was bent, creased, and looked terrible. I tried to fix it. It was not useable for the outfit. It was not protected during shipping. It would be a 5 star review if they had a better hat and protected it during shipping.

I had a great time in this costume. I thought the quality was great and everyone loved it... and I have a medium size head in a helmet and the hat fit perfectly. Unless you have a large head this should fit perfectly.

Just used once as the material is not resistant and ripped on first usage.

Purple coat- Way too tall. The hip pockets were just above my knees. The arm sleeves were crazy long. Wasn't a tail coat like I expected. Looked like a bath robe from behind.Shirt- Fine. Flap shirt front ties behind your back with a strap. Cheap solution to make it a one piece costume.Hat- Fine. Has elastic fitting inside to fit to your head size.

My boyfriend is 6ft 220lbs and it fit him perfectly. He did have to cut the lining out of the hat but it did fit him well after that. Paired it with some khakis, a cane, and shiny shoes and looked great! He had a lot of compliments all night long.
