Maybe it was just my product but this is definitely not made for an iPad Air 4th generation.The pen connects and charges on the right side of the ipad (The side where the camera is, the side where the touch ID is). Though the apple pencil holding slot is on the left side, so while you are storing your pen it is not charging. So in order to charge it you have to remove the ipad from the case and charge, then reattach the case to keep it protected.It's blowing my mind how no one else had this problem.It's a beautiful case, study, lightweight, the blue color is very pleasant, but it absolutely serves no purpose to me if I can't charge my pencil while in the case.Returning.. Hope this helps someone!

My apple pencil isn't able to charge through the case, and the screen protector came broken. The case does look nice, but overall not what I expected.

Great quality, great value for money and awesome color

If you are using an Apple pencil this product is worthless - the pencil charges on the right side of the iPad, the same side that the camera lens is on; unfortunately, this case has a slot for the pencil on the left side of the case - i.e., it won't ever charge, and if you do want it to charge, you'd have to take the pad out of the case.Otherwise, seems sturdy enough. Doesn't have a magnetic closure/auto sleep or wake. If you don't care about those two things you could go for it. I rather like the color and feel. But I can't go with above 1 star for the egregious lack of attention to detail - what a major design flaw!
