Forget the sticky stuff
Some people on this Earth are content not to line their kitchen cabinet shelves. These individuals are best avoided.Another type lines shelves with adhesive paper. They are often fine citizens and reasonably good drinks party guests. Pay attention to the subtypes here, however:-- The skillful adhesive paper applier, with a Martha Stewart-level ability to measure and apply the stuff and make it stay there for at least the next 50 years. This would be my mother and sister. This would not be me.-- The cutesy-pattern chooser, all too often overconfident in ability and, thus, creator of a cutesy, bubbly mess. Not really someone with a good grip on life and how to live it.-- The fool who sours early in the job, makes a mess with scraps AND -- get this -- fails to line the uppermost shelves because "no one really sees them." Avoid. Avoid everywhere. Then there's you. You know better than the adhesive-paper appliers and would-be appliers. You don't want to mess with that static nightmare. You try to smooth it on and then inexplicably it's upside down, inside out, sticking to your arm hair and covered in cat fur. And you don't even own a cat and the cabinets are new construction so WTH.So off you go to buy multiple, multiple rolls of this stuff. Buy more than you think you'll need, and then buy more, because you're going to need more. Measure twice, cut once. For the love of God, don't do that weirdo thumb-tacking thing in the corners. That was some other generation's approach, and that generation was content to look at rusty thumb tacks every time they opened their cabinets and, like clockwork, once a decade find one embedded beneath a fingernail when it reached blindly, collectively, into the cabinet for the cream of tartar THAT ISN'T THERE ANYWAY because no one uses cream of tartar, ever.Once this stuff is unrolled, flat and at room temperature for 24 or so hours, it'll remain flat until the end of time. Remember: No thumb tacks.Oh, and here's a priceless tip. Priceless! If you have a corner cabinet with more angles than a 7th grade geometry textbook, be smart. Make a newspaper template and work from that pattern.Yours in shelf-lining perfection, That Adorable Ghost

Very sturdy and stays in place
The shelf liner seems very sturdy. Items slide very easily when the grooves are placed facing the front of the cabinet. It is a little more difficult to slide them when the grooves are placed from side to side in the cabinet. Since the width of the shelf liner is sold in 12 inch and 24 inch sizes to match the depth of kitchen wall / base cabinets, I would wonder why the grooves on the liner are not side to side (width) rather than lengthwise. This isnโt a major issue as items still slide fairly easily but it would just make more sense to me. My only real complaint is that the product is not cut square prior to sale, therefore you have to use a square to straighten it before you can even begin to measure it for cutting.

Nice sturdy cabinet and drawer liners.
I put these and the smaller ones in all of my new cabinets and drawers. They were fairly easy to cut and install. I don't like the way they, They always feel like static and like they are dirty even after I wipe them down and know they are clean. But, I would purchase them again. You can place them either with the ribs up or down. I placed them with the ribs up so there is some air circulation around the items in the cabinet/drawer. They are sturdy and should last for years. They would work in the bottom of a toolbox as well.

Perfect fit / quality exactly what I wanted
I had previously installed the costco version of this where the ridges run front to back and much thinner, it was sliding around. this product however is much thicker, not as bendable, and the lines go left to right which holds it in place better without sliding. Looks clear which means you can almost forget that you have it installed. Definitely install with ridges facing up. Great selection - I ordered one roll to start as a test to see how I would like it and immediately ordered second one.

Really glad I found this
After a lot of reviews and using my personable experience with shelf liner I decided to take a chance on this. I'm really happy with the product. I've used Rubbermaid - I think that was the brand for years but couldn't find it. I needed this for a new bathroom cabinet that is white inside. The clear is not crystal clear but after placing it in I can't even tell its there. This is heavier than others I have used, easy to cut on the ribbed lines and just what I really wanted.I may replace my old liner in the kitchen with this. Many people no longer use liner but I like the cushion on my delicate glasses and love to keep stains or dust in an easy to clean mode.

Exactly as promised!
Product is as-advertised and works great. It was very easy to cut and install. I used it inside a large drawer in my kitchen where I store large utensils (like grill tongs, spatulas, ladles, etc.). Normally I like to organize all drawers and cabinets using clear plastic containers but with such large pieces, the containers actually just took up more space than they were worth. This mat allows me to just lay all the utensils out in a flat, organized row, and they don't move around when the drawer is opened and closed.

This is the penultimate shelf liner!
This stuff is fantastic! It is nice and heavy and lays flat on the shelves. I got both the 12" and 24" widths, as the 12" is perfect for upper cabinets and the 24" is great for lower cabinets. Either can be cut to fit drawers, depending on the size of the drawers. I lined the shelves with heavy duty aluminum foil first, then put the shelf liner on top. It is really pretty with the silver underneath the clear liner, and, for bottom shelves, it reflects light up making it easier to see the items on the shelves. This will be my shelf liner for life!

Very strong
Having bought other brands of liner, this is by far the strongest. Had redone kitchen cabinets and wanted to protect the surfaces inside the drawers. This works very well.
