First of all, these are amazing! I bought another brand & thought they were good......until I got these. I noticed with the other ones, they were uncomfortable to insert, they weren't nearly as soft. When I first got these, I was like wow, they're kinda big, but once I cleaned them & saw how amazingly soft they are, it's not going to be a problem at all. You can fold/ball the sponge into a tiny ball. I have a heavy flow on the 2nd to 3rd day. I can't rave about these enough. Oh..... & they have a string attached for easy removal. Thank you so much Poseidon! You have an extremely, happy, returning customer!!

Way better than I even imagined!! I've never used sea sponges as tampons before so this was my first experience... I had been reluctant (scared actually) to try them for the longest time because I thought they would be a hassle, semi gross, difficult to take in and out, and maybe just not work. Why would I want to deal with that??? Well... because I'm an earth loving hippie and I like to save money. So I said what the heck, let's give 'em a try......Verdict? Hands down **AMAZING and I'M NEVER LOOKING BACK!** They are wicked easy (and comfortable) to insert and remove, especially with the string. They aren't gross at all, nor are they difficult to maintain. I was amazed at how clean they get with just a simple rinse. If your like me - and often forget to bring tampons when you leave for the day - these got you covered - remove, rinse, put back in. No need to beg for quarters in the ladies room to avert said crisis.I'm also happy I went with this brand... there are some cheaper sponges for sale that I considered but I didn't want to risk having shell fragments/sand/etc. like others have been known for. These arrived clean as a whistle and worry free. If you're on the fence about sea sponge tampons, do yourself a favor and give them a shot! I recommend getting the starter pack to see which sizes/textures you like the most then go from there. You won't regret it!!!

I haven't been using these long, so my review could change, but for now, I'm very impressed!These are so absorbent and comfortable, and they rinse out completely with ease. I trimmed the cotton strings by ~2". I ordered the multi pack. I haven't tried resizing them yet, but I will probably order medium in the future.Make sure to sanitize them every single day with 3 drops of the included tea tree oil in 1 cup of warm water. Also, try to give them a nourishing baking soda soak (1T-1c warm water) 1x/mo to extend the life.My only complaint is that I wish they came with a mesh bag for drying and a lined linen/muslin one for daily carrying and storage.

I've struggled to find a comfortable natural menstrual solution since having children, and this just might be it. Very comfortable, and the different sizes are great. I haven't had any problems with absorbancy, except I work a very physical job and any sneeze, cough, or heavy lift I did have the "wringing out a sponge effect" if you get what I'm saying. But if you're wearing a panty liner it's not an issue. Make sure your sponges are saturated and wrung out before insertion, and the sizes i found don't really correspond to flow. Even the smallest size was plenty absorbant so I just used what size was comfortable.

I love this product. I have extreme chemical sensitivities and have trouble wearing normal products, even organic stuff. I have tried diva cups and things like that in the past, but did not like them. Found them hard to use and sometimes wouldn't sit right and leak. These things are amazing. Easy to use, easy to clean, can't feel them at all (even the large ones). And I never have any leaking issues. I have never not had to worry about needing to make an emergency trip to the bathroom until now. Thank you guys so much for this product.

They take a while to come but once they do its a lovely package with cute little sea shells and the sponges do need to be boiled but not for very long, I added some of the tea tree oil they provided to soften them up and it worked like a charm.After a couple cycles of use one started coming apart and lost the string, it was no biggy until it ripped in two when I was taking it out to rinse it! I got it out and it's fine now but it was a little alarming.They also smell a little gross when you take them out, that might just be the smell of my blood or something but it's definitely not my favorite smell lolRegardless of its cons I still am never going back to plastic or cotton products ever again and swear by these puppies

Wife needed a change in tools to used due to changes from giving birth to four kids. Came across this product, looked into it, and decided to give it a try. Huge success! She's switching to this product. Highly recommended for anyone that has difficulty with the traditional tools.

Only issue I have had is retrieving the sponge if I cut the string and used it during sex. A little digging isn’t much to sacrifice in comparison to the fact using these has reduced my 5days of menstruation to 2 days
