Great product, at a good price
good quality including paint, fasteners, and fit. A perfect replacement for a similar worn out gate latch

Replacement gate latch
Needed a replacement latch. Saw this one and liked the look. It was very easy to install and very sturdy.

Genuinely better than the cheaper ones
Never thought it would make that big a difference to have a heavier duty latch, but it’s SO MUCH BETTER. Gate closes more securely, softer, and the sound is perfect. Much quieter than the cheap versions. Worth the price.

Solid design
Beefy enough to hold our double wide wooden gate. Hopefully it can withstand the elements. I will update if it starts to rust.

Wrong hardware/needs improvement
Product is decent quality. Paint scratches off fairly easily. Mine came with a nut and bolt (lower left) that doesn't seem to belong to any part of the kit, and was missing one of the three bolts for the vanity handle. The instructions did not include information on how to install the vanity handle, although it is pretty self explanatory. I also wish that they would extend the length of the latch rod for this kit with the handle as the handle makes you lose a good inch of the latch rod. I also ended up snapping a head off of one of the latch rod bolts (which is more my fault than the kits) due to the bolt hitting a steel plate I had on the other side of the 2x4 frame on the fence. The bolts are a little longer than they need to be. Overall, the kit did what I needed it to do and is much better than my old latch.
