Although I knew it would be in an unusual format it wasn't the right book for me.

If you've had it up to here with Christians, or "Christianity," you will like this book. It distills Christianity for what it is supposed to be, not what it has become! Take a few moments and read this book and see if you don't agree. It will challenge the believer and unbeliever alike. The believer will be challenged by the author poking holes in the status quo of Christianity, and the unbeliever will be challenged in the simplicity of the gospel laid bare for all who read this. Let me give you a hint: Christianity has nothing to do with churches, churchy language, churchy people, pews, steeples, organs, the Vatican, or any of that. Oh, and Jesus wasn't a Christian!Piqued your interest? Grab a copy! You won't be disappointed.My only complaint would be that the way the publisher laid it out is more like in a poetic form of layout, but while it doesn't exactly help the reader, it doesn't diminish the message unless you are easily distracted.

This book, written at the height of the "post-modern" discussion, still holds great insight for those on the margins of faith. I love the way it speaks simply and profoundly. This is great for people who have been burned by church and for those who have preconceived ideas about God because of the actions of misguided and legalistic Christians.

Jesus with Dirty Feet is a phenomonal look at Christ without sterotypes and preconceived ideas that modern day society places on Christianity and Jesus himself.The book provides a captivating and provocitive look at who Jesus is, what he came here for and what he had to say about himself, life and God.Everts wrote the book using sense lines which made reading the book very pleasurable, and this style also added the simplicity needed to break down some very deep topics.I have been a Christian for many years and found something new and different about this book and Everts unencumbered perceptions of Christ.I am a Singer/Songwriter, and I liked the book so much I was inspired to write a song about it! This book, will show readers the life of Jesus in a humbling light with simple words and terms, no theology jargon in this book at all. It shows the true purpose of why Jesus came to earth in the first place, besides the Bible of course, which His true story has already been told thousands of years ago. it definitely broadens peoples viewpoints on the life that Jesus lived while here on earth.
