Are the keycaps swapable with a proper keycap lifter?

I’ve not tried to lift the key caps, but I believe they can be lifted. They don’t supply you with a tool though

It should light up when plugged into the computer. I bought it as a gift but have seen my nephew using it and it’s being lit
