Complete waste of $50
This is incredibly inconvenient when compared to a regular strap stretcher. If you don't put a piece of leather between clamp and the work piece it will dent the work piece. And on top of it , it doesn't create enough tension to even stretch the straps fully. I can't return it since its past the return window, it's a complete waste of $50. And not only was it a complete waste of money, I had to redo my entire piece because of the damage caused by the clamp.

Works better than standard canvas pliers because
Use it to stretch linen canvas. Works better than standard canvas pliers because, like lock-jaws, it stays gripped freeing up both hands. However, when the edge of the canvas is skimpy the jaws either slip or the canvas rips. IOW for best efficiency allow sufficient margin to operate.
