DAOKI® ST-Link V2 Works Perfectly
This DAOKI® ST-LINK V2 replaced a V1 board I had been using. I had snapped the V1 off of a Discovery board and it worked with STM development tools but not with Arduino IDE (Sduino), which did not seem to recognize the driver. Sduino worked up until the point where I tried to load the compiled code onto the STM8, but got errors. I had to save the HEX file and load it with ST’s Visual Programmer. This ST-LINK V2 does work fine with the Arduino tools This is very affordable hardware that works flawlessly. I noted that this V2 dongle will power the STM8 where I had to add external power with the V1 board.

These make programming STM microcontrollers easier.
These usb devices make it easier to program STM32 boards through their SWD pins. You should install the st link drivers from st electronics web site and your all set. Be mindful of what voltage your microcontroller uses... either 3.3 or 5 volts. I like using this over some microcontroller's built-in usb ports. It is compatible with STM32, and STM8 microcontrollers. It's well made and comes with the wires you need to hook it up. It's performance is good and will upload most code in seconds, once it has been compiled.

If you have a Sovol SV08 you'll need this.
In order to run full klipper on your Sovol SV08 you'll definitely need this and it works great.

Great programmer, bad cable
The programmer itself is great and works really well. It's small. Fairly well made. And is in a nice case that's the size of many USB flash sticks, with an end-cap to protect it. I'm dinging it one star, though, because the 4-pin cable it comes with is quite flaky. At least two of the pins on mine weren't adequately locked into the plastic housing and get pushed back when trying to insert them, causing them to be loose and not make good contact. I struggled a bit with mine getting it working until I realized that is what was happening. As long as you are careful to push on the wire and make sure that the pin slides into place, it will work, but I recommend replacing the cable with a better one. Perhaps the other reviewers who said they received programmers that were DOA experienced a similar issue?

Lifesaver
Saved my ass so many times. Doesn’t work great with Linux but works perfect on Windows VM. No complaints, been using it constantly for months now.

Must have for STM32 devices.
Used for firmware flashing on Cartographer3d probe. Must have for IDM, CARTO, BEACON probes. Works great when CANbus flashing doesn't wanna cooperate.

Not as described
Bought the item from seller DAOKI in October of 2018. The item is not as pictured -- instead of the STMicro logo it says XTW, and the pinout of the connector is different than shown in the picture (e.g. pin 4 is SWDIO, not GND). The seller does not accept returns.
