Auto Detergent Dispenser?
If you have an automatic detergent dispenser tank you may need to make an adjustment for this and other products claiming to be concentrated.Little background: When HE detergents came out they were all labeled 2X. That became irrelevant and dropped from the label because most HE detergents are now 2X. Seems still the case because the labels indicate using twice as much in a Standard washer. With the earth and shipping friendly products, detergent X ratings are back.To work properly, your automatic dispenser has to know the concentration of what is in the tank. Mine was factory set for the standard HEs using the old school 2X concentration - 1.5oz for normal load. To calculate, divide the number of ounces in bottle by label number of loads. For this product: 82.5/110 = .75. Manual has 4X setting for auto dispenser.Too much is bad and a waste. Your washer needs to know.Might be too much information but while shopping Amazon for detergent, I found the Marketing folks are busy little gnomes with their X ratings on the labels. I found the best selling detergent in the US also has a 10X labeled product. WOW! Well, not so much. Do the math and the Normal load dose is very close to the recommended for their regular product. It does have, "10 concentrated cleaning actives" under the big 10X on the label but that is not the same as using less for a Normal load. Marketing gurus and political spin doctors can get away with just about anything.

Help! Leaks
Big glob leaked into box. The only good thing is the detergent that leaked out had congealed into a solid mass and was not hard to separate from the jug. Still I did not receive the full amount I paid for. Too busy to return so i used it. I do not understand why they cannot find a way to package liquid detergent that will survive handling by UPS. I am disabled and this has the potential to be a great benefit to me if someone would just perfect the packaging for shipment. That said, the product is very good for the money. I find the scent appealing. There are several versions of Purex detergent. My favorite has Clorox 2 non chlorine stain lifters added. This version adds some enzymes for stains. All of the Purex detergents are above average on ingredients for bargain detergent. However, the ones with enzymes in the formula are best. I would recommend the product.

It's just alright; not as good as Tide
I bought this detergent because it was on sale for a very good price. I've heard good things about Purex in the past and wanted to give it a try. On my first few loads with this detergent I noticed an odd smell in my clothes. I did measure the correct amount of detergent for my load size and had my washing machine on extra rinse. It did smell clean but it had another odd smell to it. I eventually went out and bought some scent boosters to wipe out the scent. The cleaning power is decent but nowhere near Tide. Granted, Tide is much more expensive but there's a reason for that. This detergent did not completely remove body oil nor did it remove minor food stains from a cooking splatter. Also, my whites didn't look as white after a couple laundry days with this detergent. I ended up switching back to Tide for my heavily soiled clothes and whites and use Purex for my colors and towels, things that don't get super dirty.Overall this is a great detergent if you're on a super tight budget or never get dirty. Otherwise, I'd stick with Tide for everyday laundry.

This detergent is GREAT; Blood, Grease, it Does IT ALL
My boyfriend often has mechanical grease on his clothing & I am a nurse (so who knows what is on my work clothes), and this detergent gets EVERYTHING out without extra work. I had a blood spot on one of my scrub pants, forgot to treat it before washing, it sat for a couple days before being washed & it came out without a trace. We subscribe & save to this item & would recommend to many.

BEST VALUE FOR A FAMILY OF 5
Honestly when I bought this I was just to lazy to go to the store and get it. So I ordered it little did I know it’s way more concentrated than what I get from the store. That being said you only need I small cap full for a large load and it really does clean good. 2 bottles of this laundry detergent has lasted my family 2 months and trust me with 2 kids and my elderly father I wash at least 2-3 loads a day. I’m use to having to buy laundry detergent every week. And now I don’t. I but this 1x every 2 months and save so much too. So if you have a big family or just trying to save money. Yea totally try this out it will LAST A GOOD WHILE!
