Killer pot
This pot is a bargain compared to what else is out there in this size. It's of a good thickness aluminum so you can simmer the tomato sauce for hours without burning. I was concerned about the rivets attaching the handles but haven't had any problems with any leakage as I've read about with other pots. I waited to order a cover and fortunately the lid from a saute pan we have fits like a glove. The inside finish doesn't gleam like the picture shows; the scoring from the pot being spun is obvious but not significant enough to effect use or cleaning. Great value in a sauce pot. The only possible draw back is the size of the long handle; it can get in the way or lead to accidents. As for lifting, the handle is nice and secure and a second handle that's more like a drawer handle makes lifting the full pot easy and secure. Macy's eat your heart out.

Sturdy commercial kitchen-esque pots
I purchased the 3.75 qt pot recently via Amazon and am likely to purchase either the 2.75 or the 1.5 qt pot soon. The pot is very sturdy with thick aluminum construction. It is not fancy like all-clad. I recommend it for a solid functional kitchen. It is not made of a 3-layer 18-metal new age composite, instead it is just aluminum. Unlike cheap aluminum pots you might buy at walmart this is a solid pot. It is thick aluminum and has good heft. The handle is long enough and appears to stay relatively cool, though it may heat up a little. The handle is attached to the pot by rivets that go all the way through the pot -- it will not come off. The pot is very shiny when it arrives, the shine is diminishing somewhat with use but it is attractive. It is not fancy attractive, it is functional attractive. It looks like something you might see in a restaurant kitchen. Probably because you would see it in a restaurant kitchen. I did not purchase a lid, but amazon does have matching lids available.

Instant discoloration, but other wise great for the price
The review title says it all. Yeah, it doesn't look pretty after the first use, and yes it feels cheap, but that's because . . . it is! For the price, it's a great option, and although aluminum isn't the best material, it's more than good enough for most tasks, and I find it to be far more acceptable for sauce pan applications than for a frying pan, so this works well for me.

I really enjoy this pot
I wouldn't say this is for someone just starting out with cooking. You need to understand it's all aluminum without a reinforced base which you can't let sit on high heat for too long without paying attention to what you're cooking. The inside stained the first time I used it, just to boil water. Whatever. It's not a decoration, it's a tool. I plan on buying more from this manufacturer.

Mixed feelings
The style and weight of this pan is great. Strong heavy handle, feels very sturdy and sits firmly on the burner. However, simply boiling water for pasta turned the inside of the pot almost black. No salt, just water. I guess I forgot that aluminum would do this so severely with just one use. Also, the lid fits well, but the condensation from boiling plain water left "scars" on the underside of the lid. I don't regret buying it, I'm sure it will serve its purpose well -- I just regret that my memory isn't what it used to be.

This is my Candy Pan!
I have been waiting and searching for a plain aluminum pan to make candy in.. For years, I have the copper bottom pans (Revere Wear) which gets too hot, causing scorching of the mix, due to high heat given by the copper. I am so happy to have this pan, it works wonderful. Also, it has not stained ( although it is very new yet ), but I do hand wash it. I have had other pans turn color when washed in the dishwasher. Yes, this is the perfect pan for me!!!!

Use this pot nearly daily and I think it is great. I needed a very sturdy pot for my husband to make Ground Rice, he has broken numerous pots with it. This one is very sturdy and is holding up very well. I also use it for spaghetti, pierogi, gnocchis, basically anything that needs to be cooked in a large pot of boiling water and it is great for that too

Would buy again
This is a really good kitchen toolI have an assortment of all-clad, but reach for this one allot. The 2.75 is a perfect size.I don't buy cookware because the handle does or doesn't get hot.I buy cookware because of it's functionality and performance cooking food.I use pot holders when I handle hot pots.

Small Handle but good Pot
The pot arrived with a dent of the bottom (seems to be a defect) handle is very small for the size of the pot. You have to use extreme caution when using it so it doesn't spill if you have hot liquids in it. The price was so low I won't return it. I would not buy this size at full price because of the small handle. Use caution. This is my new candy pot.If you're considering - think half price.Lid is sold separately.
