Great product!! A MUST HAVE hunting accessory!
The COMMON HUNTER iPhone trail cam reader is a MUST HAVE for any hunter with an iPhone! I tried 3 others (all were sadly disappointing) before the COMMON HUNTER SD reader and this is the only card reader I will ever recommend! The product works great, the app is free, and works with the photos app already on the iPhone! Reads both SD and mini SD cards. You can do any editing with your deer pics that you can with the ones you take with your iPhone! The pictures (depending on your trail cam quality) are crisp and detailed! Small, compact (2.5in tip to tip), yet amazingly sturdy! NO extra wires or swaping SD Cards and waiting to get home to see your pics! One end is for iPhone and the other is a USB for PC. They even sent me an extender that allows for my reader to plug into my iPhone while in its waterproof case.It wouldn't quite fit into the case at first, but I did a little 'thinning' modification (shaved down with a pocket knife) to the outside plastic part and now it fits into my case like a charm and works great!!The COMMON HUNTER card reader and extender are great products! I'm so glad I purchased my card reader from them and will be purchasing more for family Christmas gifts!

👍
I was able to speak with David prior to buying the chip reader and he cleared up a couple questions I had. It was so nice to be able to talk to someone on the front end. The chip reader came in two days and works exactly as I’d hoped. I really appreciated the step by step instructions for setting up the app on my phone. Everything was clearly laid out and easy to understand. My 3 year old daughter loves looking at the pictures on my phone. These will make for great gifts this Christmas

Great product and excellent Customer Service
First off I want to say that this product is brilliant and saved me during my 2016 deer season here in Indiana. I used it in Nov-Dec of 16' then put it away until this spring. When I tried using this spring I had some troubles getting the device to read cards. So I emailed Common hunter about this product to determine if there was anything that I could troubleshoot and I received an email back for my contact info and then the co-owner called me to help. I didn't realize it was just 2 guys doing it all themselves, but they got back with me within 24-36 hrs which I thought was pretty good. They do strive for 12 hr response windows on emails per David. He helped me try solve the issue but the unit had gone bad, so he sent me a replacement adapter and new unit at no charge. Great company and a great guy.

It seems as I am better off bringing a laptop on the four wheeler into ...
It works sometimes with my iPhone 6. I have had trouble keeping it connected long enough for me to see the pictures. It seems as I am better off bringing a laptop on the four wheeler into the woods. The device is very glitchy. Memory cards are brand new and I can definitely see pictures on other computers. I guess, I thought I was getting more bang for my $. Wouldn't recommend.

Have a strong WiFi Connection!
I use this product to review SD cards from trail cams manufactured by Browning, Bushnell, and Akaso. The reader functions well when you have a strong WiFi signal but very poorly or not at all with a week signal. As I hunt in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula my WiFi signal on an LTE network is one or two bars max with my iPhone 7. Some days I can review all pictures but more often then not I can start reviewing pictures and will lose my signal and the reader shuts down. I often have to shut down my phone and restart to obtain a stronger WiFi Connection before I can start reviewing pictures again. I realize this may be a connection problem, but would be nice if the unit could operate without being connected to WiFi.

it worked best by installing the SD card into the camera viewer ...
This product didn't work the first time I installed the software but read other posts and reinstalled the app back onto my IPhone. In the field, it worked best by installing the SD card into the camera viewer and then plugging into the IPhone. The software was great. It allowed me to grab my SD card, go into my blind, review the photos or video and then reinstall the SD card before leaving. Takes the hastle of bringing the laptop or second SD card with you. The software allowed you to scroll thru the pictures and easily delete the squirrel and bluejay photos. :)

Great Product and Communication from seller
Solid product and time saving one less hassleTook a few days to receive from the Seller and they communicated when shipped and about the productTested on several cams from Bushnell, ScoutGuard & BrowningPics and VideoWorks great, except it wouldn't play a Browning time lapse (which they have written in a funky file type anyways) should play most cameras time lapse's as well if there avi or mov format for sureIf you have a case you will definitely use the included adapterThose are pretty minor gripesWish these were out a few years ago wow
