SquidGrip for Xbox One Controllers

I bought these about 2 months ago for my son. At first, they worked amazingly. Really easy to put on and helped with sweat.I knew it would probably end up needing to be cleaned, but I was not prepared for the level of smell. We had to store the controller on the other side of the room.I decided to remove it, seeing that they were supposed to be "replaceable" but all it did was separate and leave a glue-like substance all over the controller. I have been trying to clean the controller for a while. It is gross.I would not buy again, and after only two months would not recommend buying period.

Five stars for now (will update after a couple months). This is my second set of Squis grips. My first set were retired when the controller they were in died and were months old but in good condition. After that I️ got the Kontrol Freek (kf) pads which worked good for a while until the foam started to peak away from the adhesive layer. Then I️ tried to remove the kf’s and it was a disaster. The padding came off with minimal effort but the adhesive layer was left behind. It took a considerable amount of elbow grease, goo-be-gone and time to remove everything from the kf. They were attached to an Xbox Elite controller.So onto the Squids which were the Xbox version I️ just purchased. I️ applied them to a Nacon Revolution 2 controller with little issue. I️ was able to put down and pick the grip back off the controller with no issue and no residue left. This was nice, so you don’t need to get it perfect the first time. For the buttons on the back of the Nacon, I️ had to cut small slots in the pads to accommodate them. Luckily I️ got those right and the buttons are easily reached.I️ have medium to large hands and definitely prefer a larger controller. These definitely help with that. I️ also feel like my hands don’t sweat as much. All in all, they do what they say they do. So if that is what you are looking for you should be satisfied with the Squids.Also, the fit on the nacon is pretty good considering they weren’t meant for that controller. Basically everywhere my had makes contact with the controller the pad covers.

The grips are simple to install, and help tremendously with my sweaty hands problem. However, I took off 2 stars due to the poor adhesion of the product. I cleaned my controller with alcohol before applying, and the edges were peeling up on the second day of use. This seems like an easy issue to fix with better adhesive.Update 3/24/17 - Okay, I liked the product so much that I decided to rip of the pair that weren't sticking properly, and tried another set. This time I cleaned the controller with Afta Cleaning Solvent. In fairness, I am also using this on the Xbox Elite controller which is a little harder to stick to than the standard controller. This time the product is sticking perfectly after a week of use. It is critical that the controller be clean, and that you do not touch the adhesive on the grips. I highly recommend them.

These things do precisely what they offer to a T...give you a great grip while eliminating 99% of the sweat from your hands. If you do marathon gaming(don't get to do it too often anymore), and get sweaty hands, these are simply PERFECT. Dry, great grip, and leaves NO RESIDUE on your controller. You can take em off, clean, and re-apply(don't know why you'd need to, except to trade in/sell). Definitely worth the price for people who've invested $$$ in console gaming.

So far I have had this grip for about a week. I put it on my razer wildcat controller and I liked it so much I ordered another for my scuf controller. It feels great and I've noticed works amazingly to prevent my hands from sweating (they tend to get sweaty easily)I let my friend try my controller and he loved the grip so much he attempted to steal it haha.They were super easy to put on. Took seconds and they stay on very well.I didn't put the decals on and am glad they're optional as I am a fan of the stealthy look.Two issues I had with the grip (not enough of an issue to make me dock a star) were that when I first grab the Co trolley, I can feel the edge of the grip but when I play it doesn't bother me. The second issue is that it covers the back panels so I can't pull them off to open the controller or access the hair trigger settings on my scuf controller. I'd have to cut at the seam. Since this is not really an issue for regular xbox one controllers, I won't let it affect my rating.So far I love it. I'll se how it will be in a few weeks

This is essentially a pre-shaped pad that you put onto the controller grips, much like putting tint on a window but having to deal with a controller's shape and curves. The instructions tell you to start by setting the grip onto the controller at a certain reference point, you won't have too many air pocket problems if you just take it slow. The pad can be a little too big, mine now covers about 1/4 of in inch of the battery compartment cover. Once it's on though it feels very comfortable and natural, much more so than that strange "sandpaper" texture Microsoft's been putting on their controller grips. As a matter of fact it was that very texture that made me buy the grips in the first place. The microsoft texture just doesn't "feel" right.

This is a much needed controller accessory if you are a hardcore gamer that tends to game for hours at a time. Especially if get sweaty palms while playing. These grips never get slippery or sticky they create a solid grip on the controller and never let up when it comes to intense gaming. The installation of them are a bit strategic cause you really got to line them up correctly and once they are on the controller you really don't want to try and move them around afterwards, or peel them off and try sticking them back on again, it's like a one time deal. But if you ever have to remove them, they don't leave any residue behind, which is good for trying to trade in the controller (if you ever want to) later on down the road. Anyways I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a way to deal with controller slippage issues, as they really help as far as keeping a solid grip.

A little fiddly to stick to the controller but once done look very smart and gives plenty of grip.We were initially so pleased we bought another for a second controller.A massive downfall after less than 2 months play the outer lining has peeled from the backing on BOTH controllers.I'm very disappointed and what was a cool looking controller now looks naff!I do not recommend this item.

Purchased due to sweaty hands whilst gaming, doesn't really help that much and feels rather well to put it politely crap. Positioning it was awkward and due to how I've placed it on my controller I can no longer use the chat pad or headset adapter and yes the lines are perfectly lined up how the instructions indicated they should be. I'll continueto use it because I hate wasting money but I can see myself taking it off my controller within a week and searchingfor another product. On a side note if you've managed to properly put it on your controller do not take it off, the sticky is a one time deal which is also disappointing.

Very easy to apply.. And oh boy does it make a difference! Lovely look and comfortable. If your like me and have sweaty big hands then this is a must buy!! Ordering another right now lol

Applied them as instructions said and they are perfect, I get mega sweaty hands when I sweat to win and normally have to wipe my hands all the time.These grips have stopped this pretty much completely though, as long as you follow the instructions and apply them correctly they are great, they look and feel brilliant.

bought this for more grip and comfort does the job well ,sticks down well and its thick material with good grip.i have tryed this product from other companys i suggest squidgrip is best.just be care full when sticking it around headset input cause can get in the way there . i do like this a lot though.
