I’ve purchased 5 of these K&N oil filters for my 2006 BMW 330i and will soon purchase a 6th. The quality is top notch and all parts always fit perfectly. The kit includes large and small replacement O-rings for the filter cap, a replacement crush washer for the drain plug, and the filter itself. I’ve seen these filters after 8k-10k miles and they have held up nicely, there is no cardboard in there to break down. The filter element is always intact with no signs of collapse and no holes and the rubber seals and O-rings are still in good condition. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30 and the oil looks pretty clean too, a lot cleaner than other cars after a 3k mile oil change. If you’ve had issues with filters collapsing or “crushing” it is either the wrong filter or the filter isn’t seated properly.I also recommend using Liqui Moly Anti-Friction Oil Treatment. I put it in all my cars after each oil change.
