This is a moment all Kurtherian fans have been waiting for!!
THE FEELS!!!! I love the Kurtherian Gambit books and was really enjoying the Bethany Anne/Michael love story, so when Michael gets blown up by a nuke I was pretty torn up... Not cool Anderle... but you totally made up for it in this series! Michael came back and was bound and determined to keep his promise to his love!So now after 150+ years Michael's Dawn Arrives!! Finally the lovers are reunited!! (my romantic soul sings with joy) This book doesn't have an insane plot line with crazy twists... what it has is a perfect melding of the 2 series and a perfect set up for a new series!! I laughed and cried and devoured this book in under 6 hours!! It is a MUST read!!!

All Good Things
This was a great conclusion to this arc of the Michael Nacht story and even better a great introduction to what is yet to come. Characters were on the money. Bethany Anne was in her prime and she made the story pop as only she can. There was a lot to like here, not only did Michael Anderle do a superb job of wrapping up all the lost threads from the past, but also from at least three other series that exist in this universe; and he did it with a lot of style as well as humor. The fact that the world's greatest vampire now has a cat speaks to that. Very happy with this book, it is a bit shorter than expected, but all good things have an end.

Nice wrap-up to a good series (SPOILER ALERT)
I have enjoyed the Michael returns series and this was a great way to wrap it up.SPOILER ALERT!!SPOILER ALERT!!SPOILER ALERT!!I was surprised when BA and company showed up when they did. There was still a lot of pages left in the book. Those pages were well used.I haven't yet read the last 3 books in the main series (19, 20, 21). Hence the surprise arrival of BA and company.

Great Conclusion to the Series, a Must Read
While this book does repeat a lot of what is set forth in the Life Goes On book, it does give a different perspective on Bethany Anne's return to Earth. The book holds its own in tying together loose ends from the preceding books in the series, and it has its own set of characters that are emotionally compelling to the readers. To me this is a must read book for fans of the Gambit books. Together with the Life Goes On book they point the way to the next series. In the sci-fi world of so many books that are so similar, mundane and lacking in originality, this series of books and the Gambit series have stood out from the pack, and I am glad I can expect this continue into the next series.

Michael Rex or Yes Dear.
This Story ROCKS!!! Michale Anderle and Ell Leigh Clark have pulled of an accomplishment. The Second Dark Ages is WWDE to 150+ years long. We've seen Terry Henry & Char; Boris; Akio, Yuko and Eve; Valerie and Robin and of course Giles, who also gets folded into this story. Such fun it is watching Michael reconnect with Bethany Ann and... the results. WOW!!! You will not believe it. All of the different story lines get wrapped up. Mostly the way you hoped it would. If this is your very FIRST FORAY into The Kutherian Gambit Universe, get this but don't read it. Save it until you have read Death Becomes Her, KGU #1 and given yourself a chance to make sense out of all of it. :-P

It made a nice little bow
This turned out to be a really good wrap up to bring this series to a close, though I did feel that some of the action that was uniquely "Second Dark Ages" was given a back seat to the process of tying so many series up into a nice little bow. Sadly, Life Goes on hasn't hit Amazon yet (it's just now 15:45 PST) so I'm still waiting for the other half of the story... (The epilogue nearly costed them a star but I decided to ignore it since it was after the declared ending.)

Please, don't...
I am not sure what the point of this book was.Very disjointed and stuttering. It's like the more he writes the worse it gets. The stories are good, but the delivery and organization miserable. And, one word. Editing.Editing would have tremendously elevated this. (And all the other Kutherian books)"A tear formed..." Stop! Stop with the tears! Use your brain and take, oh two minutes, and find some other way to express emotion. Because it seems like it's used every ten pages... In every book...

Solid ending but...
But, there were so many loose ends to tie up that there wasn't much plot development. Yes, it seems obvious that a series ending book wouldn't introduce more plot, but I felt that we could've learned a little more about the WWDE and possibly delve into some plot current events.I did enjoy the expounding of the reconciliation between BA and Michael. The epilogue with Giles was interesting and I'm thinking about picking up that series as well. But first, I'm going to be reading the next BA series. All things considered, this was a fun book, as usual for Mr Anderle.

wow
Read this book after the last BA book, after discovering from MA that she and michael meet up in each edition. So cool to get both of the prospectives!I wasn’t sure I was going to continue reading when it got all alieny, but couldn’t put the series down. It’s not even the genre I read. However, after another tangent of the leira chronicles I decided to give MA another look…well worth reading, glad I had a week off from work as have read 26 books!!!!!

Where to go next?
Very refreshing to get back to The Master: he's no Steven Erikson but very good at what he does and quick with it.I need not have worried about Ell Leigh, the interaction was seamless.I don't like to use author sites, they are usually too breathless. I need a simple compendium of TKG universe to guide future reads???

The End?
I have waited for this book for what's seems months! It was bittersweet. The pace was so fast, the excitement was amazing and the story did not disappoint. I love Michael, I have from the first book, Death Becomes Her, sorry BA, but he is a force of nature. I also like his partners in crime in these books. But they're done now and for that I'm sad. I really urge you, read them, they're awesome.
