1.25-Inch Telescope Accessory Kit (silver)- 5pcs Plossl Eyepiece Set, 7pcs Filter Set, 2x Barlow Lens - Astronomy The 1.25" Eyepiece and Filter Kit is a great starting kit for anyone getting their first instrument or for anyone looking for a good accessories base on which to build on. The astute astronomer will recognise the terrific value offered in this kit: the eyepieces range is better suited to the average astronomer than similar eyepieces and filters kits from other (famous) brands: indeed the selection of focal lenghts delivers increased versatility by reducing the low focal lenghts eyepieces. The low focal lentghs eyepieces are often promoted as a good option delivering high magnifications: if it is true the magnification is higher, it is always at the cost of image quality and sharpness and in practice simply less useful and enjoyable. The kit includes in the aluminium, foam-lined, carry case the following: Eyepieces: 40 mm Plossl Eyepiece 20 mm Plossl Eyepiece 12.5mm Plossl Eyepiece 8 mm Plossl Eyepiece 6mm Plossl Eyepiece Specifications: Fully multi-coated/ 4 element optical design / 52 degrees field of view / Filter thread /Standard 1.25" barrel 2X Barlow Lens - 1.25": Specifications: Doubles the magnification of any eyepieces, effectively increasing the range of available magnifications Filters: #82A Blue Filter #56 Light Green Filter #23 Red Filter #21 Orange Filter #12 Yellow Filter - Moon Filter Polarizing Filter(Single) Specifications: Help bring out certain details on the planets - Moon filter helps reduce the negative effects of glare for a more detailed and comfortable observation 1.25” filter threads on the filters.

Great value to enhancing your stargazing
Yes, you can probably purchase a Zoom lens instead of all these independently. Which, I do have. But, the Barlow, individuals lens and the lens filters are great to have and use — its an incredible value! The case is also a huge plus! In my opinion, the quality is great. I priced each element individually to get a sense of the cost savings before purchasing and encourage you all to do the same.

Box doesn't lock and no keys
The media could not be loaded. So far so good I like that I can store my other lenses in also but the box as you can see in the video has a lock but doesn't lock or come with keys I spoke to Amazon they said to use a hook to lock and unlock whatever that means

Great tools but flimsy case
The lenses and eyepieces are fine, no issues there. The case though, broke the third time I picked it up.

Appear to be of high quality although I am not very experienced.
I haven't used these substantially, but they appear to be made of high quality materials and optics. I am no expert on telescopes or eyepieces, I am just learning, but these do produce clear images on my little 90mm newtonian reflector. I haven't had a chance to use the filters yet. All I have to compare these to is the piece of crap eye pieces that came with the telescope and these are a substantial upgrade optically. I am hoping to upgrade to a bigger telescope in the future so maybe I can update this review at that time.

Great Improvement For My Scope
Great value! I bought this set as a replacement for small .965” eyepieces on my cheap Tasco 302012 Newtonian telescope. I considered some more expensive models but decided on this one. Glad I did! I went from terrible eye relief, dimness and general frustration to being incredibly happy with the upgrade and improvement this set gave me. Might actually be a tad too bright on a full moon but can be solved by stacking the filters.

What's the point of a living case that doesn't come with keys?

Good for the price
For those whose telescope came only with one or two eyepieces, this usefully extends their set. The eyepieces (Plössl, a sort of middling quality between the cheap Kellners that come with starter telescopes and more expensive prime eyepieces) themselves work well and the lower power ones have good eye relief. The Barlow lens unhappily introduces significant chromatic aberration. The weak aspect of the set is the filters. Their packaging is poor - although they come in individual little boxes, these are far too big for the filters and have insufficient padding, so the filters rattle about. Also, they are very easy to cross-thread in the eyepieces, particularly the higher power ones, and a couple don't seem to go in correctly at all, no matter how hard I try. This will be a serious failing in the dark, with frozen fingers. Overall, this is a reasonable set for its price but don't expect "stellar" performance.

Good stuff
Very well made and in a great case. Instructions for the use of each filter would be handy but that's what Google is for.
