Not recomended for Samsung S5 or S6
The unit is built well solid and comes with awesome high quality ear bud. However this is not recommended for Samsung S5 or S6 and here is why.The brack that holds the phone is place has 4 lips that help hold it in place however theselips push on the power button, changing sides doesn't fix it because it hits it on the other brackets. Why the Samsung did recognize the remote the joy stick did not work making it useless. The headset is very good quality and earbuds are top notch the remote is cheap toy quality plastic. Not sure why they scrimped on a very crucial part,To digress the even bumping the headset made the phone re-boot once it almost wiped out the phone in areboot to restore may not seem like much but most phones will at the least turn of at the worst reset the phones software.Well built solid item well worth the 30.00 but it is not recommended for the Samsung S5 or S6 just because of how it pushed on the power buttonhas the bracket been moved a 1/2 inch ether way it would have cleared and forcing it only makes the phone sit cockeyed andthen the viewer is off.

Impressive packaging, great quality.
My niece liked it. Make sure you scan the barcode when you're setting up the VR to your phone so that it displays in a better quality. Game options are limited as to how well they work with the remote so you have to go to the settings and play around with it until it accepts the remote. Other games seems to work just fine specially the one about height fears but others like shooting zombies took a long time to set up the remote to allow you to shoot them. The quality of the product is great. The packaging is very impressive- looks like you paid a lot of money for it. It comes with headphones that zip up and down which looks really cool- my 14 year niece loved them. I think it's a really neat gift.

Don’t buy if you have an iPhone
It is comfortable to wear, but if you have an iPhone, that’s all this is. You don’t need to pay a lot of money just to have something to hold your iPhone in front of your face. The remote is useless with iPhones. Sure, you can pair it with Bluetooth, but it won’t do anything in VR games. You can’t even use the Google Cardboard app with it. The reason is that Google cardboard has a button on it. I found this out after purchasing this headset. A real Google Cardboard device has one of either types of selection buttons. One is a magnet button that when depressed and released will create a small shift in the local magnetic field. Phones with internal magnetic sensors (like iPhones) will detect this disruption and register that you have used the button. The other type of button is one that induces a physical tap on the screen. The button is attached to a lever that makes a tap on the phone that is out of the field of view. If you either tap the phone with your finger or move a magnet back and forth close to the phone, the Google Cardboard app with sense this. Either type of input is needed to utilize the app. This head set has neither of these capabilities. It is amazing that either a simple magnetic switch or a simple lever were not part of the design of this headset. The description on the main screen explicitly states: “This virtual headset is equally suited for iOS and Android devices making it a great iPhone 3D VR headset and a much better alternative for Google Cardboard.”It will NOT work equally with iOS or Android. If you read deeper on the company’s web site or start looking through the Q&As on Amazon, you will find that the company knows that you cannot use the Bluetooth remote with VR games on iOS. They state this is due to restrictions from Apple. They state Apple only allows to use play/pause and volume controls. Neither of these are on the Bluetooth remote. They knowingly mislead you with their description and an obvious iOS pairing button on the remote. Additionally, it is NOT a better alternative than Google Cardboard because it lacks a selection switch.Additionally, it comes with earphones with a novel zipper design that is kind of cool. However, the quality of them is not great. I kept heading static when moving around. The ear-buds that came with your iPhone are far superior. The disappointment and frustration I and my children had when we received and tried to use the device with my iPhone is what prompted this review. I have returned the headset to Amazon. I have ordered a separate headset without a Bluetooth remote and that has a magnetic switch. Headsets without remotes are less expensive. Not all headsets have a switch. If you have an iPhone, look for one with a switch and don’t pay for a remote. If you have an Android this headset may be fine, but if you have an iPhone, don’t buy it. What made be angry about this headset is that they purposefully mislead me into thinking I could use my iPhone with a Bluetooth remote and that I would have full functionality of VR games.

new worlds
First time using something like this but it seems fun. I am not impressed with the remote but that's probably user issues and I need to learn how to operate it. My main problem is I am not able to put it over my glasses so the videos are slitely blurry and the adjustment built in isn't enough to fix that. I may need to go to contacts or find a set that is a little wider in the padding area.

The remote pairs up fairly easily. But the instructions are poor
The remote pairs up fairly easily. But the instructions are poor. The nose cutout is not well designed, it hurts the bridge of my nose quite a bit. I'll have to add foam or something to make it comfortable.UPDATE* I've decided to return the headset. The controller will not work after the first use, and it is unbearable to wear, it hurts my nose way too much.

Well. Not all that compatible with the Galaxy S5. modification needed.
First of all. It has problems using the Samsung Galaxy S5 inside of it. You have to rotate the phone so the the ON/OFF switch is pointing down or place a hard spacer in the top center. You might be able to place a spacer to the right of the ON/OFF switch like it has on the bottom rail of the VR goggles.. Also, Remove the front cover so that the phone will not over heat. I dont know if the Samsung Cooling fan cover will fit on this unit. Thats like $35. Get yourself a 10 foot or longer USB cable for the power. It used up the battery up in 30 minutes. Lots of nice demo videos out there to try.Samsung does not have a VR Apps for the S5. I tried the Cardboard Apps as recommended online but it was really bad. I am currently trying out the Full Dive on Google Play. This worked a whole lot better. The controls are kind of funny but at least it works better. The sound quality through the housing is not bad, but the ear plugs that come with it are better. The Bluetooth controller buttons are slow. If you are watching a movie or demo. Its OK.Prescription glasses dont all fit inside unless they are narrow glasses. Mine are kind of wide. You may want to use some foam weather stripping for that annoying rubbing from the goggles left and right adjustment on the bridge of your nose.
