Holt McDougal Algebra 1: Student Edition 2012

Great Teachers edition!

As a homeschooling parent, I was looking for an alternative to Saxon math which is a favorite among homeschoolers. I did not like Saxon because I thought it was poorly organized, did not give enough practice for each lesson, and did not teach mathematical thinking (it was more like cookbook mathematics—do this problem in this way to solve it). I began to search for a basic high school algebra textbook, similar to the one I used in public (gasp!) high school. I am so happy I finally found a good textbook! This Holt McDougal textbook is a solid algebra 1 textbook with plenty of practice, explanations, and practical word problems (with real life applications). I also purchased the solutions manual for this textbook.

My son’s school uses a digital textbook that isn’t very good. I bought this book to provide a reference and more practice problems. Very happy to get it used in good quality for a reasonable price.

In GREAT shape and a good value! I needed a few extra copies for my classroom.

Initially I was sent wrong book, I was sent Algebra 2 book instead of Algebra 1 book. I reported this to Amazon and they/seller immediately communicated their apologies, refunded my money and said that they do not know how this happened. I did not have to return Algebra 2 book, as they told me to keep it. Seller from Amazon said they no longer had book but later I looked and found it and Amazon sent it out to me. I'm very happy that my son now can have his Algebra 1 book and not depend on borrowing the teacher's extra copies. Thank you.
