We needed something to prevent us from slipping in the bathtub. These work great.

Effective, does the trick! 2 of the strips have come off, but the rest are still properly in tact.

They do not stick well in the tub

Added these to a child's step stool that had 'smooth' steps. Really added great traction and have stood up to over 1 year of wear with no signs of damage, chipping, or delaminating. Haven't tried putting it in my shower/tub, but it seems like these would work well almost anywhere extra traction is needed.

Four of the first set of five strips came off after two showers, the fifth came off a day later. I complained and asked for a refund. I received a very polite letter and eventually a replacement package of the same strips. Once again, four of the five replacement strips peeled after a few showers. The fifth strip is stubbornly holding on as this is being written a few days later. The strips were intended to replace several of the Rubber Maid strips I had used for over 15 years, most of which are still tightly in place and doing their job. It's a pity that Rubber Maid no longer makes the product.

These strips are indeed anti-slip. The key to longevity is careful preparation of the bath's surface - this must be completely clean, dry and grease free. I lay out the strips and then mark the position of each using a soft lead pencil before removing the backing paper. It is essential not to touch the adhesive surface or to try and reposition the strips after installation. Hardening of the adhesive takes about 24hrs.Due to wear, I have to replace the strips on my steel bath every 18 months or so but I suspect that they will not last as long on plastic baths/shower trays as these flex significantly and have high coefficients of linear expansion. Downsides? Well, the white strips discolour quite quickly to become light grey, and care is required when cleaning the bath using cream cleanser.
