Supergirl (2005-2011) Vol. 2: Breaking the Chain

My favorite Supergirl comic series compiled into a very nice graphic novel. Good color. High quality pages. Not difficult to read the bits that are in the center, bound to the spine of the book. Big fan of the way this graphic novel is put together.

Item description inaccurate. I thought for 727 pages for under $10, just the paper was worth that much. Actually there is 276 pages. It doesn't appear to look any more interesting than the first volume.

Item arrived in great condition

So, this was pretty bad. DC Comics always struggle with exposition and intermingled crossovers and that's the case here. Kara leapt from storyline to storyline without reason. Readers don't get a sense of why and sometimes who. There were some possible good ideas (Power Boy's feelings & Kara's inner turmoil) but both were handled poorly. The art was all over the place. Anywhere from terrible to good. Overall, the book is a disappointment.
