Why didn't I think of this?!
Why didn't I think of this?! This is one of those things where you say to yourself, I really should I have thought of this perfect product! As people have said, it is very well made. The plastic is thick and it looks like it can handle a few bumps and bruises. I have yet to drop it on the floor, but I'm confident it won't crack unless I slam it on concrete or something.Pros:- It fits wide bread. The specialty kind of bread and not just wonder bread- Great quality build- Genius design. You put the middle plastic part in the freezer (it has a little ice pack in it) and it keeps the deli and tomatoes warm- Super quick to whip up a sandwich in the morning before work- Dishwasher safe (except that middle ice pack part)Cons:- Not much that I can think of right now. I guess it can be a little hard to open the side grey lever but that's also a good thing because it keeps the stuff from coming out.I like this sandwich container. I tend to just wash it by hand anyway because it doesn't get greasy or anything. That way I can have it ready for the next morning without having to run the dishwasher.

AWESOME container
I originally bought one of these containers from the company's web site and just bought my second one off of Amazon. Personally, I think this thing is GREAT! I totally agree with all of the reviews regarding how sturdy and extremely well-designed Perfect Sandwich is. I have never had an issue with condensation. And I have had no issue fitting my Oroweat bread in the container. The ice pack is awesome and totally performs as promised. The versatile divider is also really cool and I like how it allows me to either separate my wet and dry sandwich ingredients in the "up" position or fit a whole sandwich in the container when the divider is in the "down" position. I even use the container for other food I bring for lunch that I want to keep cold. Overall, I'm very impressed with this container.

looks nice but impractical
It's well made and looks nice, but the transparent cover cracked after the first week. The ice pack insert in the box made bread soggy by lunchtime because of condensation, so it seems impractical. Without the ice pack, the box only combines two boxes (bread and lunch meat) into one, so I think it's a bit overpriced.

41/2 stars - almost perfect! Yes
41/2 stars - almost perfect! Yes, it's bulky and heavy, but what it does more than makes up for that. My 15 year old son likes taking sandwiches to school for lunch, but it was so hard to pack them well and keep them fresh. I was looking for something to chill the meats and cheese but would also keep the bread fresh and dry. Lo and behold I ran across this little box. I crossed my fingers and hoped it wouldn't be an overpriced sandwich box, and I was pleasantly surprised. Full disclosure, I had to watch a youtube video to figure out exactly how it works because I didn't want to break anything! It's simple to use once you see someone do it. The removable freezer pad sits at the bottom of the bottom compartment, and I put meat and cheese on it. Once that is closed you put the bread or roll on top of that level and snap the top lid closed. It is a strong snap. My son was afraid of breaking it at first because you have to apply a little pressure when opening, but it's very sturdy. Sometimes I need to trim the bread slices to fit, but it's not a big deal, still a nice sized sandwich.

Good Idea on paper.
Bread dries out on the top and is soggy on the bottom. It's a great invention if you can figure out how to keep the bread soft.

Cool idea but has issues
In theory, it should be fantastic. The reality however, is that this product falls short in a couple of important areas. 1) Anything other than an PB&J gets squished when you close the separating cover. I make my boys sandwiches that have a couple slices of turkey and some cheese on standard sandwich bread and I have to mash them into the area that sits on top of the ice pack. 2) The sandwiches get soggy. Condensation builds up in the container and makes the bottom portion of your sandwich that is resting on the ice pack soggy. The only way we have found to combat this is by laying a paper towel on the ice pack and putting the sandwich in a zippy to keep a layer of protection from the condensation. In an area that is already squished with just the sandwich in it, this is a challenge. It's also a pain in the patoot and requires more steps in an already busy morning. The good news is that the ice pack DOES keep the sandwich cold and if you choose not to put condiments in the top part, there is more than enough room for a package of crackers or something to help save space in the lunch box. In spite of the issues, we still use it because it does keep the sandwich cold and that is preferable to food poisoning.

The best I've ever used.
It's strong and does with it should do. I don't use this in the normal way with the innards and outards (is that a word?) of the sandwich in the two parts. I'm low carb and do two meat and cheese creations in each section. It works great! It is a big of a pain to wash and dry. Well, hand washing is pretty easy and I could wash it in the dishwasher. Not much sticks to it though so hand washing is very easy. It is a bit of a pain to dry. The middle divider has a bunch of groves because of the fold/unfold nature. That is a nice feature, but it holds water and makes hand drying necessary no matter if you hand wash or dishwasher wash. It just takes a little extra time. However, this is still the best sandwich case I've ever used. I highly recommend it.
